2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

This is a terrible take. Even if they do win, it is a terrible take.
It's my theory that they are so bad, and we are so negative about them that this is exactly the kind of game they will win. Completely unexplainable, but then there it is.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

KFAN told me this morning that the Twins just set the record for fewest hits in a 4 game span. Well played, Mauer.

I was wondering about the record books. Hits for the last six games were 3, 0, 5, 1, 5, 6 = 20 hits in six games. I guess that four-game record must have been the 3, 0, 5, 1 stretch = 9 hits in four games. Nine hits in four games! Criminy.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Heard Cory Provus on the radio tonight talking about a 6-4 unassisted double play. Uhh...Cory...if you say two numbers it isn't unassisted.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Danny Valencia has been sent to Rochester and Francisco Liriano has been demoted to the bullpen.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

The only way Nick Blackburn is going to an All Star game is if he's throwing BP for the home run derby.

You can't even count on both hands the amount of epic fail young players that have come through this Twins system lately.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Now that someone mentioned it, someone from this squad will have to be in the All Star game. If he keeps it up Willingham I suppose wouldn't be quite as embarrassing as Coomer or Engle.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Willingham rules. I feel bad for him. I shouldn't, because he is a professional athlete playing in the big show, but I do regardless.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

What happens when we get a good starting performance? The best guy in the bullpen sucks. Awesome.

To top it all off, Jamey Carroll says that his wife is " the bomb dot com." Ugh. Kill me now.

I thought he was talking about his mom. Either way, inappropriate commentary from a guy even older than us. :)

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

10-24, but only 8.0 games out of first place. The AL Central sucks!

Also, the Twins have played every AL East and West team, but only 1 Central team so far.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Everyone who loves Joe Mauer likes to bring up that he's got a great average with RISP. What's his average with a man on first base? I bet it's .100 or lower. Also, they were already talking about trading Capps on the postgame show. I'm such a clairvoyant I should go to Mystic Lake.

With a runner just on first: .208 this year (5 for 24), .346 for his career.
