2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

They got rid of him because his knuckleball wouldn't knuckle indoors. The next year we moved into Target Field.
When he was with the Twins he sucked on the road too. They were (mostly) outdoors.

I like the moves so far. I'm resigned to the fact that the Twins will suck for the next few years. Stock the cupboards with good young arms.

I'm not searching through the thread, but I'm just tossing it out there for people who don't already know, the 2013 season will have its radio broadcasts on 96.3FM KTWN. I happened across that info last night while station surfing on my way home from hockey.

Yeah my dad had a belief that that was in the works for a while. First they named the station KTWN. Then the Pohlads bought the Ford Center next to to Target Field. Plus, with how crappy 1500's signal range was, you knew the Twins would want to move to FM and get a stronger signal. Somehow my dad called all that happening.

You think 1500 had a short range? hahhahaha

FM, in general, has a far shorter range than AM. I could pickup AM1500's signal just fine an hour into Wisconsin. FM died much sooner than that.

I think there is a hole in 1500's reception where my parents live. FM should have a stronger signal. They are covered by both KTWN and 1500.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

An AM signal can be picked up from further distances, but many times it is patchy and fuzzy and cuts in and out more often than FM. The quality of sound will be much better on KTWN, even though the coverage isn't as large.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

and they turn the power down at night, so the AM coverage would be much smaller in the evening, when most games are played.
