2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Let's see, how's Deduno's 3rd inning gone so far?

Single, walk, single, home run, triple, wild pitch (which scores the runner).

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Two games left in the season. We're one game behind Cleveland for the worst record in the American League. Willingham and Morneau are both out for the final games. If this were a Peanuts cartoon, it would start snowing any minute now.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Losing 4-3 in the ninth. (And Ben Revere's been picked off TWICE.) Maybe Parmalee can start things off . . . Nope, he's called out on strikes. (By a pitch waaaay outside.)

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Man, this ump wants to go HOME. Another called strike, at least six inches low.

One-and-two, down to the final strike . . . ripped up the middle for a single!

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Chris "Pee-Wee" Herman up now, with a career 1-for-17 batting proficiency.

Two quick strikes, and we're down to our last . . . grounded to short, and that's the ball game. So at best the Twinks will tie for worst in the A.L.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Cleveland won last night, so we've got a guaranteed, last-place-in-the-A.L. Twins team this year.

So why am I watching the Twinks? Good question.

Miscellaneous Info: It's Omar Visquel's last game. Dude's in his 24th MLB season. Impressive.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

And Visquel, in his final Major League at-bat, singles sharply up the middle. Big ovation. Pretty nice.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Last inning, last game. Twinks down 2-1.

First up: Parmalee.

Annnnd he grounds out.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Now youngster Matt Carlson. Can this guy hit? Who knows! But a hit here would be nice.

Foul ball, oh-and-one.

Fly to right . . . caught, for out number two. It's all down to Eduardo Escobar. Yes, Eduardo Escobar.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Pop up, foul territoryyyyyyy . . . and it falls foul, just out of the shortstop's reach.

Escobar still alive.

Ball, low. One-and-one.

Still here, keeping the dream alive!

Ground ball to second . . . and the 2012 season is over. Twinks finish at 66-96.

See you next year, Twins fans.

It sucks to play 162 and just come up 4 games short. :(

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

The only nice thing about the Twins sucking is I can go to more games because they are not sold out :D. Went to 8 games this year. Haven't been to that many since the Dome.

Despite the horrible year (again) I'm gonna miss having something to listen to. We will see how much better the Twins on FM are next year.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Everyone but Gardy and Andy. Everyone else is gone or moved to a lower position.

Sounds like Molitor is interested in a position.

So....We all agree that the pitching staff is the biggest disaster on the team, so they don't fire the pitching coach? What the ****.

Sh*t in, sh*t out. He doesn't have much to work with...

The pitchers may be bad, but he is the one pounding away with this pitch to contact crap that does not work.
Anderson should be sent packing and until he is, this pitching staff will not improve even if we managed to lure good pitchers here, which we won't.
