Pitchers and Catchers Report Feb. 18th.

Projected Lineup for Opening day vs the Orioles at Camden Yards on April 6th.

1 Denard Span, CF
2 Jamey Carroll, SS
3 Joe Mauer, C
4 Justin Morneau, 1B
5 Josh Willingham, RF
6 Ryan Doumit, DH
7 Danny Valencia, 3B
8 Alexi Casilla, 2B
9 Ben Revere, LF

Carl Pavano has already been announced by Gardy as the Opening Day starter.

This team is in deep doo-doo unless we make some more moves. We are one injury away from being an average AAA team.

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

99 problems and a

Glass Joe is one
Dizzy Morneau is one
bullpen is one
starting rotation is one
unreliable closer is one

Quite possibly the most accurate thread title I've ever seen. This team is going to rival the Wild for being unbearable to watch.

Casilla still starting is a major problem. When are we going to have a decent infield up the middle again?

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

I know it is just a pipe dream - but I was sad we didn't even attempt to bring in Lord Albert Pujols or another big time right handed stick

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

If you think the projected starting lineup is bad, just think about June when we have lost the usual suspects to injury and Casilla to being a terrible player.

1 Denard Span, CF
2 Jamey Carroll, SS
3 Rene Tosoni, LF
4 Chris Parmalee, 1B
5 Josh Willingham, DH
6 Ryan Doumit, C
7 Danny Valencia, 3B
8 Luke Hughes, 2B
9 Ben Revere, RF

Last years Twins team made me realize I am more of a Twins bandwagon guy than anyone. Thanks to the "Hunt for 100" I was rooting against them.

I'm planning to be at Target Field Memorial Day weekend. Any advice on seating for the best combination of cheap and viewable? I'm pretty stingy but might splurge for one of the games. I think individual games go on sale Feb. 25.

And people will pay $30 for the honor of watching that!!!

geezer,

I have sat in every part of the stadium in every level of seating minus the Legends Club...if you want to go cheap just buy the cheapest seat you find you won't have any issues and the view will still be good. Hell do what I do, watch the game from a different vantage point every few innings. the best part of going to Twins games is walking around...especially next year when they lose another 95 games :(

Re: 2012 Minnesota Twins: 99 Problems...

Oh, and Zumaya is already out for the season.

Shocking.
Waste of a signing.
