2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

Re: 2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

That's nothing. I hit a 7-iron yesterday afternoon from 130 out and nearly hit the green. Take that Watson! :p:D:D
I'm generally a pretty long player (for a regular hack golfer) and I hit it about 165. Bubba hits a 7 like I hit a 3.

Bubba and Calc looking good right now. We're just getting to the time of the day where the guys within arm's reach are teeing off. I have a feeling thaTiger is going low.

Custom/good clubs + proper form + strength = massive distance.

For most hacks (like most of us), anything over 200 yards is a long iron or a fairway wood.

Re: 2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

You're swinging at it instead of down and through it. Let the ball get in the way of your swing instead of making the ball the focus of your swing.

And start your downswing with your left tricep. Drag the club through the ball.

One of those three tips should cure what ails ya.
Fixed it. Moved the ball back a bit and down on the club face a bit. 200 - 220 with the odd one a bit more or less.

Edit: Looks like Mr. Woods is repeating is US Open weekend performance.

Ever have music in your head when you play? Is Eine Kleine Nachtmusik better for the game than American Woman?

Well, we'd have to wait 9 months for that......

.....late September?
I think we're too spread out for it to work. We'd probably only get 4-6 people to show up at any particular location.

try playing a round where you take 1 extra club on every shot

Well...Eldrick may have played himself out of this one on 6.

Never seen a pro hit out of a bunker from his knees. Almost hit that back in as well.

Re: 2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

On a side note, the depth of these bunkers makes me want to sob from a few thousand miles away. That **** ain't right.

Re: 2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

In other news...now Snedeker and McDowell are ****ed. And Scott is in the bunker, though, with an easier shot/lie.

First of all, **** Doosan.

Tiger is a mess right now. He's done, unless Scott and McDowell both completely implode. I have a feeling, the way this course is playing, Scott may win it with a score of about -5.

Re: 2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

Ah, I don't know about that one. He made a practice swing...and the ball moved...

Re: 2012 Golf Season - No matter how you slice it, it's still fun.

It would be kinda cool to see Ernie post something like a -7 and sit in the clubhouse and see if Scott can handle the pressure.

I could've hit a better shot than McDowell just did.
