PPP is essentially the Dems' equivalent to a Rasmussen-like in-house party poll, so I wouldn't let it get you down until the real pollsters start checking in.

That is extremely unfair Kep. PPP does have Dem ties but their accuracy has been very good. I'm a bit surprised to see you regurgitating GOP talking points.

PPP is "accurate" lately the way Rasmussen was in '04 -- they overvalue their friends' demographics, so when there's a turnout imbalance they get close. That's like saying the fans of an underdog accurately predict every upset. No they don't -- the result just happens to ratify their preference, that particular time.

538 did a great breakdown rating pollsters by methodological soundness during the last cycle. PPP wound up almost exactly where Rasmussen is -- in the 3rd quartile.

And can we please stop accusing everybody of regurgitating the other side's talking points whenever they say anything we don't agree with? That's pretty tired.

Is that the breakdown showing that PPP has the least bias of any major pollster that WWM referenced below?

Huh. Well, I'll admit, that's interesting (though to nitpick Quinnipiac is a major pollster if PPP is).

OK, fine, facts win and PPP does not suck the way I thought it did.

CNN calls Missouri for Frothy, and he has honkin' leads early in Colorado and Minnesota.

Romney in THIRD in CO and MN, behind Newtie and RON PAUL respectively.

This is high farking comedy. I can't breathe right now.

They should hand the Republican convention over to Vince McMahon and let him put it on pay per view.

Not to pile on, but this is an absolute freakin' disaster for Romney. Not that he's going to lose the nomination, as few delegates are being awarded here, but losing to Rick Santorum? Gimme a break. The guy has no money, no organization, and spent the last week off the trail looking after his ill daughter. Good Lord. All you righties trying to talk yourself into this guy, I'd love to know how you view this now. IIRC, there's been 9 contests so far and against an assortment of cranks, nuts, and laughingstocks Mittens has gone 3 for 8 in the primaries, and one of those states he practically lives in.

I can understand losing South Carolina, or Georgia, or Alabama to Newtie. But Santorum? He's the only guy winning outside of his home region.

Okay, so I'm listening to Romney speak, and the guy's about as interesting as burnt toast. With all that money can't he hire a decent speechwriter? Or at the very least keep it short? Ron Paul may be insane, but at least he's able to communicate with his supporters to get a rise out of them.
