Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

It's called a car. The Righties HATE ****ING TRAINS. HATE THEM. You hear it all the time on the news/opinion shows. Hell, I heard it this morning on Morning Joe. They cannot stand them ****ing trains.

Aside from all the economical and environmental reasons to take a train, there's also the fact that I refuse to drive in places like Boston because it's a freakin zoo. And since I can no longer drive, the train is an awesome alternative. I can't wait until Amtrak expands to Brunswick and is within walking distance. I can walk to the train station and step off at Boston Garden. How easy is that?

If you're lucky the train will be built. But, with the current atmosphere and the GOP's fetish for cars and pavement I doubt it.

It's almost done. Thanks to Scott Walker turning down federal funds, states like Maine took the money and ran. Officially, it will be done next year, but they're way ahead of schedule and might be done this summer.

You can Google private security firms. Disband the military. Make Larry Niven happy.

My hatred has nothing to do with trains and everything to do with efficiency; put the ****ing trains on the ****ing coasts where there's enough ****ing people to support the service.

I'm going to say something in defense of Palin, here. She is a hundred times more attractive than Bachmann.

True. And what is up with Bachmann hiring the ultimate Washington Insider crony, Ed Rollins? That's entirely counter to any argument she has ever made about anything.

Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Let the Cat Fight begin.

Are you being figurative, or did Palin and Bachmann actually hire cats as assistants? Hey, weirder things have happened...

Glad Ed Rollins considers physical appearance to be a qualifier for the job. Let's just make next month's Playmate the president.

Palin's chief of staff is Michael Glassner, for goodness sakes. That's like running as anti-Wall Street and hiring Tim Geitner.

Wait, what?

This just in: to run for an establishment position, always claim to be anti-establishment.

When ya aint got nuthin' ya got nuthin' to lose.

Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich's campaign manager, senior strategists and key aides in early delegate-selection states all resigned on Thursday, a mass exodus that leaves his hopes of winning the Republican nomination in tatters.

Rick Tyler, Gingrich's spokesman, tells The Associated Press that he, campaign manager Rob Johnson and senior strategists have resigned, along with aides in the early primary and caucus states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Pawlenty picks up huge endorsement.

South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson, who became famous in 2009 after yelling out during the president’s health care address to Congress, is endorsing former Gov. Tim Pawlenty, the Pawlenty campaign announced Tuesday.

Supposedly a lot of Newt's ex-guys have also worked with Rick Perry, for what it's worth.

Tracy Morgan just became the GOP frontrunner.
