Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Has anybody posted Dilbert for President yet? Wally as VP, The Pointy Haired Boss runnng the Treasury and Alice as Secretary of Defense.
I think that would be under-using Wally. Maybe Wally as Secretary of State? Then again, he'd probably prefer the VP job.

As far as congress is concerned, I like Jackie Mason's suggestion: "put 'em on commission."

Meanwhile, union goons in Wisconsin continue to act like, well, union goons. Actually, I hope they keep it up. Maybe they can vandalize more schools. It'll make it that much harder for Deadmeat to carry Wisconsin next year. I suspect a lot of voters will or already have a belly full of this nonsense. So yeah, solidarity forever brother.

Definitely thinking Wally would prefer the VP position, but I may have erred with Alice. Can have her as Secretary of State and draw Hillary parallels all day if anybody sees a similarity.

If I were a Repub in WI state govt, I would take my union 'victory' and run (ie, mend bridges). Any verbal spat between state govt GOP and unions or any other public segment will be decidedly bad for the GOP.

It hasn't worked out that way, yet. The union goons lost the Supreme Court race and didn't win enough recall elections to change the balance of power in the state senate. And the steam has pretty much gone out of the recall effort against Governor Walker. Maybe the union goons will learn that elections have meaning. And that you don't have endless "do overs" if you get an outcome you don't like. And for sure, people in Wisconsin are going to grow very weary of union goons vandalizing schools with super glue and loud, ugly, profane mobs following their governor around, even if they didn't support him. All of this is coming exclusively from one side. The union goons and their Democrat flunkies tried everything they could to shut down the Wisconsin legislature. You figure the voters in the middle aren't aware of who was doing what? That they are confused as to who was doing the rioting in Madison? I think not.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Wausau has told the union goons if they want to call the shots for the town's Labor Day celebration, then they can pick up the tab.

I'd suggest pointy-haired boss as press secretary. I'd love to see the press try to make sense of anything he says.

Dogbert should be over the Treasury.

Jon Huntsman predicts he will win NH primary. He's polling at 9% so he has some work to do.

Re: 2012 Elections Part I: All Politics is Yokel

Maybe his prediction was for 2016?
Maybe it was for the Libertarian primary in 2016?

Huntsman seems like a decent man. He has as much chance of winning a GOP primary the way that party is currently constituted as I do.

Bachmann compared herself to Margaret Thatcher today. I think she's being too hard on herself and doesn't really understand the true leadership she would bring to the Oval Office.

“That would be belittling for Margaret – Sarah Palin is nuts.” -- an aide to Margaret Thatcher, on the possible meeting between Palin and Thatcher

I wonder what that aide has to say about Bachmann...
