No one throws a tantrum at the mere thought of insurrection as quickly as you and for some reason "Puerile" is a fave of yours. Meh. I'd say that the protestors' ability/proclivity to organize nationwide and film the cops has evolved a little over the last few years, too. Measure-countermeasure. If you're doing anything (protesting, sleeping, etc) on a public street, I fail to see how a cop filming you is an unreasonable search. And if I get tear-gassed, I really doubt it would matter to me what color badge the guy who did it was wearing.

Sounds like an "outrage of the day" situation to me.

Maybe, but I'm not a fan of using the anti-terrorism structure for "urban pacification." That way lies madness, regardless of whether the protesters are left, right, or center.

This was a bad road to go down, right from the start. Having the cops go up to 11 for everything is not the answer in a free society. And once we do this, there will be a chorus of justifications for doing it, which makes it that much harder to disassemble.

So since I'm conservative, I'm an expert on child abuse by conservatives, or have some special knowledge because conservatives are "prone" to abusing their children or maybe even abuse children myself because I'm conservative? This would be guilt by association on steroids. And typical of the "thinking" of libtards in general and you in particular. What would be really scary and enlightening here is if you actually believed that nonsense. Truthfully, I'd like to take a belt to YOU.

Incidentally, butt crack, I've already posted on this subject a couple of times on the Nice Planet thread. No excuses offered. How could there be?

Mayors across the country are discovering what officials learned in the '60's and 70's, these losers WANT confrontation with police and violence (the cops' of course, not theirs). Even that wimp nanny in NYC is learning that appeasement with this bunch is not a solution nor a strategy. Confrontations with police are ugly, messy and sometimes result in people getting hurt. That's why the parasites are constantly trying to up the ante. They want to gin up public sympathy to their "cause." The problem is, when a mob is massively breaking the law, the options for putting down the insurrection are somewhat limited. The time for Kumbayah is over.

Oh, and these parasites are quite capable of lying. We've already learned of "reporters" who are simply vomiting up the party line. Like the "legal observer" (translation: National Lawyers Guild communist agitator) who was "run over" by a police scooter and had his ankle "injured." Only that was a lie, but that didn't stop credulous, lefty media from eating it up and spreading it around like Jif on white bread. We've been told the lad who got injured in Oakland (?) sustained a fractured skull as a result of being hit with a tear gas projectile. Curiously, in reporting from Oakland yesterday, a journalist took a direct hit from a tear gas projectile in the stomach and the thing exploded in his hand. No injuries.

These bums insist their First Amentment rights take precedence over everyone else's rights. Well, they don't. And while we certainly need to protect legitimate expressions of dissent, it's not required that we allow mobs to take over our streets, destroying property, creating health and safety issues for the rest of us, in order to do so.

Not sure why you would consider them my heroes. Not sure who they are impacting other than local police and so my belief is they are extremely ineffective considering the effort they are putting out.

I find your personal brand of "conservative" similar to Ahmadinejad's. Good thing it's not shared by many others.

I see where that old Communist hose bag Angela Davis was leading the mob in Oakland yesterday. Everything old IS new again. Power to the people! This time no guns, so nobody died, for which we should all be grateful.
