Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

I suppose it could be worse, you could always be a Colorado fan.

Halftime in Eugene
Buffs-0
Ducks-56

EDIT: ...and the refs just screwed MSU out of 30 seconds by changing a first down call. Oh well, this offense wouldn't have done anything with it anyway.

Colorado just might be the worst team in D-1. Oregon had over 300 yards rushing in the first half

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

I really hope that he can somehow come back and play football again. They are comparing it to the Willis McGahee injury, but I thought this one looked a whole lot worse. That was absolutely horrific.
It definitely looked worse than McGahee's. His leg was just flopping around. Hurt just looking at it...

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Assuming the Gophers hold on to this 41-7 lead, they have a very good chance of being bowl-eligible since we still play Illinois.

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Wow, Rutgers, way to take a promising season and flush it down the toilet. Six picks? Against Kent State? Really?

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Rich Rodriguez just put the exclamation point on how he didn't fit in at Michigan.

He can beat USC.

Ha, on the surface it looks bad, but Rutgers hasn't played a good team all year. In fact, Kent State might be the best team they've played. The Big East's best is Louisville and I'm not even sure how good they are.

These worthless dicks are going to let them back in this game. Pathetic.

Sheesh, settle down. After all, they're still just college kids.

Have to believe Matt Barkley's stock is dropping more and more. I know he's setting records and still putting up numbers, but I'm just not seeing it in the clutch. I don't think he's anywhere near an Andrew Luck or RG3. I don't see the intangibles.

I wasn't being entirely serious.

The second half was more of the usual for Gopher football, but they owned enough in the first thirty minutes that it was never really in doubt. Especially after the pick six.

Beat Illinois and you are bowl eligible. Should be doable. We'll see.

Marcus Lattimore suffered a broken femur, broken patella, torn ACL, torn MCL, torn PCL, and torn LCL. Sounds painful. I think he's done for the season...

He basically doesnt have a knee left to speak of. This is why I never question a RB leaving early for the NFL draft, even as a low draft pick. To much risk even with the advances in medicine over the last few years.

Forget the season, have to worry about his career at this point. Glad I didn't see the play. Don't plan on looking for it either.

I'd say the old Napoleon McCallum (Raiders) injury is similar, and even that didn't look as bad as this one.

Holy Wah!! Yeah, he's going to be lucky to even walk without a major limp in the future. Patellas are a pain in the butt to fix once broken. Hell, with as much damage to the knee itself there, it wouldn't surprize me they just opt to replace it with something else than to try to put the patella back together.
