Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

The Gopher fans on Facebook crowing because they beat WMU by five are hilarious.

At this rate, John L. Smith won't even last one year at Arkansas. He is such a joke.

Considering this is a game we lose by 21 in the last three years, it's a massive improvement. We're not happy that we won by five. We're happy that for the first time in YEARS we're seeing improvement.

No, I understand. Lord knows I was talking about Tech's sweep of Wisconsin and near-sweep of Denver for quite some time last year.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind Petrino and his mistress at Arkansas at this point.

Here's a fun clip of John L.

Louisville barely hanging on against North Carolina after being up 36-14 in the 4th quarter. 39-34, :48 to go. Louisville ball.

EDIT: Louisville survives. 39-34

I don't think you Gopher fans have anything to worry about. Cuse is losing to Stony Brook. It will be 4-0 before the collapse happens. :D

Better than being 0-4 or 1-3 before the dive towards the conference bottom begins. Learn to win, get some confidence, and who knows what can happen in conference play at that point.

More importantly, the Gophers are actually starting to look like a team who is beginning to believe in itself, which is a HUGE step forward. This Gopher team going 3-5 in conference wouldn't totally surprise me and would make the season a total success.

You stay classy, Wisconsin.

Re: 2012 D1 BCS thread

Circle Nov. 3rd on your calendars. That day might as well be the semifinals for the National Championship. Oregon is at USC and Alabama is at LSU. I'd be surpised if any of them lose before then. Though LSU does have Florida and South Carolina back to back a few weeks before.

Well...forget that. USC falls to Stanford.

Wow. With the way they played against Purdue and the way they looked at the beginning of the game (penalty and taking a time out before even snapping the ball) I thought this was going to be a VERY different game. I am very pleased with the way the Irish played. Really did not make many mistakes and the defense was very good really controlling the line of scrimmage and forcing MSU to become one dimensional. If they can keep improving things they could have a much better season than I expected.
