Whoever knows how, will you also add the 3 Pittsburgh girls to their respective colleges? They were posted several days ago but never got added. Brooke Webber to Stevenson, Sarah Shiels to Trinity and I don't recall the third.

Sheils was posted as going to Franklin Pierce not Trinity. The third was Wisniewski to Plymouth which has already made it's way on to the list.

Always possible but with how late this all transpired and such along with the fact these kids are going to a great school such as Amherst I don't forsee to many hchanges. But I could be wrong.

I would agree with Prez. When kids pick an Amherst, Middlebury, Bowdoin, Trinity or any other NESCAC, most kids have chosen the school, not just for hockey, but for education as well. Most of the NESCAC's are highly ranked in most of the polls (US News and World, Forbes, etc.) as one of the higher ranked schools in the country. Hockey does play into the decision making process, but for these schools to be able to even attract a player to come, said player still needs to have well above average grades to come, so education is always an important part of the decision making process.

Spot on as to why the recruit chooses a NESCAC school. It would be highly unlikely that such a player would now change direction and go to a non-NESCAC school. But, I would not be shocked if a particular girl chose Amherst over Middlebury because of Plumer, and now that girl might give Mandigo a call.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't almost all NESCAC schools early decisions though and kids have deposited for the fall well ahead of the timing of this announcement?

Sure that's not a binding commitment but when you start throwing $$$ into it you have a better idea of where kids intentions are of going or to better put it where their parents will allow them to go after fronting the money for a deposit. :)

Good point Prez. Come to think of it, the ED commitment that is common in NESCAC could explain why non of the Trinity recruits bolted last year when Andy left.

what's the deposit amount? Because a $300 tuition deposit is pocket change for most families who choose NESCAC - therefore, no big deal to change your mind in May or June.
