You're right, Goon, but the end of the HC game was just the beginning of what was a pretty fun night.

Anyway, back to UND. They looked a little shaky on Sat at the start. What gives?

Don't look now but both Kristo and Knight have really vaulted up the national scoring leaderboard. And speaking of which, when was the last time the WCHA had the top 5 at this point?

I thought this was the most appropriate place...

As a result of apparently becoming nothing more than a bit, and the fact that either I have changed, or this board has changed (or quite possibly both), I have decided to put my posting shoes away. 10 years ago when I joined (after lurking for years), the board was a lot of back and forth banter, but there was actually room for hockey talk and opinions being shared. I thoroughly enjoyed posting, and it seemed as if we were all having a lot of fun. Now, I don’t really enjoy posting as much. One cannot have an opinion without there being some double-secret agenda behind it. I’ve been feeling this way for quite some time, but I thought that it was only a select few people that felt this way. I’ve come to realize that is simply not the case.

I still plan to post occasionally on the Café side, and I’ll continue to do the NCAA Weekly Pick’em thread. Also, if you want to chat or ask me a question, feel free to PM me. Anyone that has done so in the past knows that I will always respond as best (and as soon) as I can. I’ll also do my best to keep updated the Best Coach/Teams/Programs lists that I’ve done, at least through this season (and in the future if anyone still cares).

Anyway, to all the people that I’ve met through this board, and all the posters that I’ve had such a fun time with, I want to say thank you. Oddly enough, this board was a big part of my free time over the past 10 years, and I’ve had a whole lot of fun. Thank you.

Sorry to see you go, FS23. I am glad you are going to continue updating your always entertaining Best Coach/Teams/Programs lists, but this board will certainly be worse off without you here posting your (mainly :p) rational, well-thought out discussions.

That is really a shame. I must say, in seeing some of your posts in the ridiculously stupid Minnesota/North Dakota thread (where it appeared to me you got ganged up on to some degree) this week and the "tenor" of a lot of them, I can't say I'm altogether surprised. I don't understand all the rancor, either. Your posts have almost without exception been some that I have enjoyed seeing. You'll be missed. I guarantee you I won't be the only person to say so, either. IMHO you are one of the most noteworthy posters in the entire forum. Hope you'll reconsider, at some point.

I agree with hbgh - sorry for the decision but glad you will continue the pick 'em and best of threads. I understand your frustration with the D1 threads - it is impossible to have a discussion of hockey without some jackazz derailing the thread.
