Sounds like one hell of a party.

When I was in school...we called that "Tuesday"
If it's a day that ends in "Y" is a day that college kids drink in college... :) I played a couple season of college football and when I was UIU we drank all night before our home coming game. Needless to say we got run over. :)

This all helps me understand your posts and blogs much better. Heavy, frequent drinking early in life and blows to the head from football both contribute to early onset dementia.

That, and as my Dad would say "Goon was born a retard, and has been going downhill ever since"

being a gopher fan ive seen plenty of announcers that have been questioned on their abilities. i have to say- i feel sorry for you nodakans that have to listen to those 2 new homers you have on there. the announcer couldnt pronounce their names and the color commentator was brutal. is this a new channel as well? the color was off.. almost looked black and white (this is a serious post.that production all around looked different and not in a good way)

I didn't notice much of a difference in color. Manitoba's browns and North Dakota's greens were just fine on my TV. The two things that I noticed that were substantially different were the powerplay clock (a plus), and the overall camerawork (a negative). Typically, the camera people get better after the first couple of games, so I'm not too worried there.

As for the announcers, they are college hockey announcers...none of them are all that good in comparison to the other sports. The best announcers for college hockey are typically on radio. The best college hockey announcers on TV are generally out East. The worst are the B1G announcers, as they know little to nothing about the sport and almost feel like they are being forced at gunpoint to do the broadcasts.

I didn't flip over to FSN North...how was the Gopher's broadcast?

The best college hockey TV announcers are out East? Surely you jest.

I haven't had to suffer through Dan Hammer before - that was ugly. I guess Kristo is now a center and wears # 10. Koberinski is a poor choice and to call him a "color commentator" is a stretch. I thought the color was off too - very dark picture. It could be a long year - hopefully the team plays well. They looked pretty good tonite.

It's not saying much, but they tend to be better announcers than the national announcers or those in the CCHA and WCHA. Again though, "best college hockey TV announcer" is akin to "sexiest obese woman"...it's not saying much (assuming the person is not a chubby chaser).

Did you watch on DirecTV or FCS? My color was fine.
