2012-13 NHL Thread. Fehr Thee Well??

I keep hemming and hawing over buying Game Center Live. I don't have a dedicated device to watch the game on my HDTV. I would use my wife's laptop, but the graphics card has been hit or miss when plugging in the HDMI cord.

I don't want to buy a 360 just for NHL and MLB.tv, but I want to watch streaming shows from sites like ABC, which Apple TV and Roku don't do.
Spend the 8 dollars for huluplus, and you can stream most tv shows thru the roku.

Vanek with a sick 3rd goal tonight to get the hatty vs. Bos. The 8th of his career.

btw is DirectTV doing a free NHL promo or something? I could have sworn neither Center Ice nor the NHL channel were part of my tier and my wife sure as hell didn't call up to order it.

Center Ice had a free preview through the end of January. It costs 4 payments of 14.99 to subscribe. Between the Bruins games I get plus the games on NHL network plus games on NBC/SN I don't expect I'll need it.

Blueshirts really missing Callahan out there against the Pens. Hope he's back at the 10 day mark rather than 14.

They were playing crappy before he went down too. Also I am not liking the Nash/Richards/Gabby all on one line.

Sharks wait till the playoffs to swoon. So it's no surprise they are doing well right now. :D

Sixty years of history, and what hockey means to we Canadians, encapsulated in about five minutes.

Great memories for me.

Busy day in Minnesota. Charlie Coyle called up and will make his NHL debut tonight. Darrol Powe and Nick Palmeri traded to the NYR for Michael Rupp. Also, Zenon Konopka will be playing on a line with Mikael Granlund and Devin Setoguchi.

"Those guys just won the lottery" - Konopka :D

Re: 2012-13 NHL Thread. Fehr Thee Well??

It'll be interesting to see how the Hawks handle Raffi Torres tonight... Most of Chicago wants someone to Bertuzzi him... Even though this team seems to be more willing to stand up for themselves (See Duncan Keith standing up for the hit on Jamal Mayers on Tuesday), I just don't see it happening... Not sure if it's direct orders from Coach Q or the players just not being very physical...

The "finesse" system has won us a ton of games, so I guess I can't really complain... It's just times like this where it can get frustrating...

Yeah, we're currently arguing it out on hfboards.

I'm hoping for a pound of flesh, but agree with you that it seems unlikely from this bunch. Maybe we could sign Stu Grimson to a 1 day contract.

Torres = POS

I think at most we'll see Torres answer the bell and fight once, and that's it. I don't see this going Rangers/Devils.

I agree and I'm not even sure we'll see that. The Hawks just don't have that edge to them at all.
