As a pure stickhandler, I can't think of anyone.


That's a gritty 2 pts for the Wild. Hawks out-chanced them by a significant amount, but Backstrom made all the saves.

For the Hawks, coulda had 2 pts, but this was the first of a 6 game roadie where most hope that we get 7 pts. Decent start to the trip.

Heatley was absolutely invisible. Did he leave the game at some point?

The Wild looked exhausted towards the end. I guess a tie and a please-the-idiots bonus point is a nice generous way to end the night.

Glad to see the second line step up a bit.

btw is DirectTV doing a free NHL promo or something? I could have sworn neither Center Ice nor the NHL channel were part of my tier and my wife sure as hell didn't call up to order it.

Blueshirts really missing Callahan out there against the Pens. Hope he's back at the 10 day mark rather than 14.

FreeView ends tonight. I splurged $49 for the season. Won't next year.

I keep hemming and hawing over buying Game Center Live. I don't have a dedicated device to watch the game on my HDTV. I would use my wife's laptop, but the graphics card has been hit or miss when plugging in the HDMI cord.

I don't want to buy a 360 just for NHL and MLB.tv, but I want to watch streaming shows from sites like ABC, which Apple TV and Roku don't do.

I picked up a Sony BluRay player with wireless in it for $80. I can stream Gamecenter Live, Netflix and a bunch of other services. I also have it hooked up to my stereo system and can stream Pandora or other music options. Picture has been pretty good. I usually just watch while I'm on my bike trainer, so I'm not sure if there are a lot of blackout games. So far, just the Avs games since I live out here in Colorado.

It was worth the $50 since I already had the BD player.

I also have a 27" flatscreen TV hooked up to my desktop computer as my monitor. Even just using a VGA cable (I just set it up and am too lazy to find one of my extra HDMI cables) and it looks great. At the very least, I'm able to listen to the game in the background and surf the web like I am doing now. And then flip over when it sounds like the action is picking up.

It's a lot easier to navigate on a computer than using the Sony GameCenter Live app. The iPad app isn't too bad and loads nicely.

After watching BUF-BOS highlights, I think we can add Vanek to the sick moves list. That third goal? Filthy.
