Only takes one team. He is perfectly capable of putting up a 40 or 50 goal season if properly motivated and players like that are few and far between. The question is who will take the risk that he won't be the 40 goal scorer who eats up $9.5 mil of a shrinking cap amount.

It is early and things will take time to jell. Just like the jokes last summer saying this is the "Minnesota Heat", much like them it will take some time to get it right.That was fun. I'm classy; not gonna rub salt in the wound.
Besides, it was a competitive game, and who knows how the playoffs are going to shake out.

Last I checked, they were spanking it to Damien Brunner and about half of them wanted either Tootoo or Franzen bought out/traded.

Backstrap is garbage. Ever since the scrimmage he has looked old, slow, and totally lost. Harding needs to get more starts. I would be nice if Backstrap could at least provide some trade value so we could get the 6 million albatross off the pay sheet

Well, I just looked up some stats and 2 things stuck out. I'm shocked that the Bruins PP isn't the worst in the league. 1 for 16 is holy brain stew aweful. But, if you're going to have a PP that aweful, I guess having a PK firing at 100% can make up for it.
And yes, I used AWEFUL as in former NU player Jon Awe(ful)
