Went to the Habs - Caps game last night. If ever there was a player who looked like he didn't give a rat's behind it was Alex Ovechkin.

Should the Caps buy him out or try something else like removing the C???

Remove the C and put him on the trade block, I have to believe that someone would give up something worthwile for home give the potential of what he has shown himself capable of before.

I'm surprised he's still wearing the C after his simmering contempt for Dale Hunter last year.

His contract is an absolute anchor. Can't see a trade happening there.

I'd bet that the marketing folks are controlling that one. There is too much advertising by the Caps around the "Great 8 (sic)". Busting the myth would be a PR nightmare.
