I'm guessing you're asking rhetorically, given your alma mater.

And Hextall is their GM! Will they even try to play hockey or will they just hit people?

Tweets indicate and TSN reports that Don Fehr says the talks "are off for now."

I wonder if the NCAA D-III proposal to start playing on 11/1 now applies to the NHL???

Wave goodbye to the season. Bettman's 3rd work stoppage and Fehr's 6th. Anyone expecting differently was a fool.

Maybe Fehr will finally break the owners/Bettman like the MLB strike in '94. It seems that there is more of a push to disclose the owners income, the "hockey revenue" funding, than there was in '04. Didn't the players already give a lot in '04? Why should they keep having to give back when the owners are stupid enough to keep giving them more.

John Buccigross tweeted that the NHL/owners are getting hammered in the social media. Last time the NHL/owners controlled the message. Not this time, which may lead to a (very) short lockout.

Only if they can keep the players off of Twitter. It'll only take a few of them saying stupid crap like the NFL players did repeatedly in 2010 to flip the table to indifference to all the rich ***holes involved.

Losing hasn't stopped Cubs fans from showing up. Once McDonough turned the Blackhawks in to Winter Cubs, the United Center isn't a venue for hockey. It's a social gathering with some event happening in the middle for 41 nights a year.

Removing seats in the 300 level just to create two bar areas shows their attitude.
