2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

Re: 2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

Having said that, it wasn't like Poutine was trying to break her spine or anything. She wasn't making any "cold, calculated, brutal attempts" to hurt her. It was frustration, she threw a cross-check, and got a penalty for it. Your garden variety frustration hockey penalty.

TTT defending a BU player. You heard it here first folks !.

Don't let it get out, you'll hurt my reputation ;)

Mostly I'm getting frustrated at the constant "ZOMG SHE TOUCHED HER SHE MUST HAVE BEEN TRYING TO BEHEAD HER VICIOUSLY AND BRUTALLY AND CALCULATED-LY!!!!1111one111" that I've seen in other threads.

Re: 2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

With all due respect, I.don't think we were watching the same game.

Also, the shot count was ridiculous. The ice was tilted for like 2/3 of the game. No way did BC only outshoot them by 3.

BC really hit BU hard on the score board, but they also hit them, and tripped them. You are lucky watching online if you see the play, and what goes on away from the puck, if shown, is far more rare. I agree that there was a lot of crap off the play, and usually you don't expect it by a team with such a commanding lead. BU started to give it back in the third when Poulin was being targeted. And yes, BU got chippy too, but like I said, 4 or 5 goals down against a rival - easier to rationalize.

The BC forwards were exceptional and relentless last night, and Miller was not letting BU in.

Re: 2012-13 D1 Scores and Results

Can someone give me a summary of what happen in this game? I didn't get to follow or watch it due to Hurricane Sandy aftermath. Was BU playing that poorly or was BC just that good?

Unfortunate seeing that scoreline as I thought Wednesday was a must have game. BU will be without Poulin (4 Nations Cup) for Saturday's game so that's already a pretty big set back on paper. Will be interesting to see what happens in tomorrow's game.

BC just out-skated, out-worked, and out-played BU. It's seemed like we just wanted it more. The celebrations got bigger and bigger and the beatdown got worse and worse. That should give you a good idea.

Forgot about Four Nations, who else will be missing from each team?

Providence 2, Maine 1 after 1.

PC jumped to an early 2 - 0 lead. Maine scored late on a PP.

PC outshooting Maine by a margin of - wait - 12 - 6!

Maine tied it up in the second, but PC had an answer. 3 - 2 after 2

Cornell is up 1-0 against Princeton after 1 period and is outshooting Princeton 16 to 1. Brianne Jenner will not be dressing for either game this weekend as she is off with Team Canada. It is also good to finally see Poudrier playing. Saulnier talied Cornell's lone goal.

Cornell is leading Princeton 4-0 after 2. Saulnier got her second of the game, and Poudrier and Richardson both scored their first of their Big Red careers. Shots are 27-9.

Clarkson and UND are tied at 1 after 2. ML received a 5 and 10 checking from behind penalty at the end of the second. Clarkson will have 5 full minutes of PP to start the third.

4-0 final score between Cornell and Princeton. Final shots on goal were 45-10. Princeton's Olivia Mucha was taken off the ice in a stretcher after a collision into the boards at the beginning of the third period. I'll certainly be praying she isn't seriously injured and has a speedy recovery.

Cornell's starting goalie Slebodnick also left the game due to an injury in the second period. Hopefully, it is nothing serious, and she will be ready to go soon.

Actually, it would have been a 5 and a trip to the shower, but 15 minutes to start the 3rd wouldn't have been much different.

I'm just amazed that, even now in their senior year, the twins still keep taking stupid penalties. This one clearly cost them the game, as the go-ahead goal was scored on the resulting power play.

Does anyone have a live feed for the Brown Harvard game? As usual, America One Sports has brutal service.

Yale up 2-1 on Dartmouth and Harvard up on Brown 2-0. Both games early in 2nd period.
