Excerpt: "In seven of the first nine years Jeremiah was at the coaching helm, the Indians won the Pentagonal League Championship"....
The Indians ?.
Interesting and thanks for sharing. This tidbit reminds me of the great Conan speech last year at Dartmouth where he made some humorous references to the olden day's at Dartmouth. One reference was about the "Selection of Green" as the schools color and Conan's take on it was some like this. "So how did they come up with the Color Green. Well, All other colors were taken, so Green it was. How pathetic is that". insert laughter here
Ohio state 8 Bemidji state 1 early in the second period. Altho the beavers are skating hard this is NOT the same team without Tomcat.
Goals spread throughout the entire buckeye team!
Dartmouth 'smoked' at Quinnipiac', 8-3. No Holdcroft (goal). Not sure if injury.
Ouch.
Dartmouth was Moore's Indian School in Ledyard, CT, originally. Eleazer Wheelock, founder and active in 'education' of native people (principally, then- attempting to westernize native indigenous people). He received support from (Lord) Dartmouth and moved school to Hanover, NH. Such as Mohawk (one of the original five nations that made, make-up the Iroquois Federation, League: Haudenosaunee), Joseph Brandt, others...
End of the 1st period... Providence 1, St. Cloud State 0. The Friars got the first 11 shots on goal of the game with help from 4 Husky penalties, and the period ended with the shots being 13-5. Nicole Anderson scored on the power play.
St. Cloud will start the 2nd period will a full two-minute power play opportunity due to a Providence penalty at the horn.
EDIT: The live box score shows the Friars being 1-for-4 on the power play after the first period... I believe it should be 1-for-5 based on my interpretation of the NCAA rule book. The Friar goal came on a delayed penalty, ending the third power play but starting the fourth -- not wiping out the fourth.
