2011 Posters' Game - St Paul

Re: 2011 Posters' Game - St Paul

Further info on the rink - it is pretty "bare bones," no pro shop - no sharpening, tape, laces, etc. Which seems weird with two sheets, they could at least put in a vending machine with some of that stuff as other rinks do. Anyway, if you need something, I'd guess Greyeagle could advise on best locations to get it in St. Paul. I can bring some extra little stuff like laces and tape too.

Given the lack of real locker rooms and no security, I'd bring bags over to the scorer table area. Since we have a number of off-ice "staff" they can keep an eye on things.

What do Augsburg and its opponent use for locker rooms? I've never heard anyone complain about it the way I have heard people gripe about Drake.

So change my title from "Journalist" to "Off-Ice Security". I'll keep an eye on things.

I believe I may be in attendace, so if necessary, I can assert some authority and watch over stuff.

Re: 2011 Posters' Game - St Paul

Best place for sharpening in St. Paul is George's on Grand Ave. They don't sell much beyond laces and tape, though, so if you need something more head to Boehm's at Selby and Snelling. Aside from that, everything is in the 'burbs.

The main rink has a varsity locker room. B rink does not.

The times I've played at Augsburg it's mostly been on the B rink. We've never had anything stolen. Like I said, you can get your stuff pretty close to the western benches. There's not a lot of foot traffic through that space, so people tend to get noticed when going to that spot of the arena.

Smokin' Hot hammerpunchers!

So you are planning on trying take something, just so that 'diva and Scarlet will try to assault you?

Interesting angle at hitting on chicks. Or maybe the desparation of getting some kind of female physical contact....

Go for it! :)

I can be security for the security...we dont need any of you hoodlums bothering and harassing our wonderful off ice support staff! ;) :D

If people want I can bring refreshments and so on since there is no vending.

Gotcha. Perhaps had I read a bit more thoroughly I'd have realized there was a second rink.:o

I should be so lucky! :D

First off, I unfortunately won't be anywhere near St. Paul (I know... FAIL!). Second, I'm not sure about Scarlet, but I know I'm old enough to be 'diva's dad. Third, they'd likely look at me and start running the other way. :(

Re: 2011 Posters' Game - St Paul

I dunno Quiz's/BroGin's plans, or if bbdl/Shirtless are driving, but since I'm staying at a hotel in St Paul sans vehicle, I MAY need a ride. I would rather not cab it. I promise to find out in the next two days.

That, and I am horrible with directions. I'd get lost.
I will most likely drive us over there to watch...

Not really. My vision is also poor and I don't like to pay attention. I think I fit the bill.

Sorry, I meant no offense. :o I just recall the first time I played in the posters game was Milwaukee. I sent you a pass, and when it hit your stick it caused you to fall over. :D

There's 3 wifi signals. Aug-StaffFac (protected), aug-guest (open, but takes you to a login page, with no indication of how to create an account), and aug-student (which appears to be open, and should be what I'm using to post this message).
