Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

So on Cam Neeley's night, the Bruins score 8...on Bobby Orr night they score 4
Maybe they'll honor Ray Bourque for Game 6

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Why did he do that? I mean, jeez. You know Vancouver was going to get all chippy. They're up 4 goals and he has a shut out. Do nothing. All that did is now get all the Canucks and their fans all whining *****ing and moaning that he should be suspended or something and it's just going to get uglier. Two and a half to go in the game and you have to do that? I think it was a stupid move. I don't care how much of a ****** Burrows is.

Can the rest of the series be on Versus? The B's lost both games on NBC. :(

Let 'em whine. Who cares. I love Timmy's spunk.

Nice to see Raptor Jesus do well tonight. Nashville really had something in Peverley, but let ATL get him on waivers. He does really well in a scoring role, but disappears when on a third/fourth line.

USCHO has someone covering the Cup finals. Didnt catch the name, but he just asked Juilen a question.

And our own Jim Connelly asks Claude a question about Peverley. Nice Jim.

How cute that the NHL thought they had taken a tough stand with the Rome suspension, and could get this series back under control.

The NHL screwed the pooch when they didn't suspend Burrows. That's where it all started.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Well, if they had dealt with Mike Tyson Jr. after Game 1, maybe this would be a different story.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

No suspension is warranted though.

This isn't even a question. Plus, Burrows clearly started the entire thing.

Sorry, there is a difference between whacking a stick and chopping at a knee.

You're right, by definition, there is a difference. That being said, if Burrows can't handle it, he shouldn't have started it.

Tim Thomas needs to be fu**ing suspended.

LOL. That's absurd.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs IV: Rome is Burning

Guys like Roloson and Turco would have outstanding suspensions measuring in the hundreds of games if they suspended goalies for taking whacks at guys knees on the power play.

Not to mention it's different when, you know, the goalie is actually interfered with first like we saw tonight.

The Cup is ours! I can't wait to celebrate the Cup coming home! Suck it Vancouver!
