2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

I wonder how many people would help Ference with that fine.

Did the goalies switch bodies or something? Price is looking like a sieve and Thomas is looking good.

Thomas has looked good all game. Can't fault him for the goals Montreal's scored tonight.

Without Thomas in there it's like 6-3 already. With Bryzgalov in there, it's like 15-3, especially since hell will freeze over before he signs in Canada, or at least Winnipeg. (You're welcome for the extra 4 hits, Joe!)

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

He's been doing hockey since early 1990s with the Caps, then in 1995 he become the Rangers play-by-play. Back when Fox had hockey he was one of the play by plays. I think he calls a very good game, but like I said earlier, he's got the look for radio.

Ok, for some reason I don't remember him doing hockey. How about the Panger? That guy is a traveling machine for Versus.

Now they blow a whistle for a frozen puck?! Where were these refs last night at the Garden?

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Things cut both ways...there was a pretty bad missed call immediately preceding the Ference goal. (On Wisniewski at the blue line, IIRC)

Couldn't have been Wussnewski would have pretended like he was dying to get a whistle like last game.

Ok, just so you stop talking about this over and over. The puck was loose. It was covered for maybe a 1/2 second. The Caps player didnt poke it in from under the goalies pad or anything. It was sitting there on the line. Second, who are you going to blame for the other goals? The team could have rallied together and won 3-1 at that point. Its too bad Gaborik didnt pull his groin earlier in the game eh?

Can always count on the "refs screwed us" coming from a good amount of Bruins fans when Montreal wins. Keep drinking that Edwards Kool Aid.

I know there are still 8 minutes left -- but I think that was Boston's chance. Got a feeling you'll be smiling when this one's over.

Price is having a Thomas like game 3. A couple of questionable goals, but coming up big when it matters most.
