Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Sloppy game by both teams, I felt. Howard wants #2 back, but somewhat made up for it with a few big saves later. Bryzgalov went from below average to miserable in this one.

In the end, a sweep is a sweep. Bring on the Sharks!

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Mark Lee of CBC said the fans in Phoenix have the same look that the fans in Winnipeg had 15 years ago.

KARMA!

Yeah, it's going to be great to watch a team go broke in Winnipeg. Next thing you're going to tell me is that Hartford could support a team these days.

Yeah, because the Winnipeg fans haven't become exactly what they hated 15 years ago. If the team moves, I hope it's to Kansas City just to **** with them some more. Otherwise, it'll be awesome to watch them move from 29th in attendance to 25th....until they realize no NHL free agent will sign with them and the team gets 48 points a season.

and Eaves makes it a touchdown, and it's beyond over.

Well, technically, Hanzal is the one who made the goal official. Eaves could have whiffed and would have still been awarded the goal thanks to Hanzal's frustration by throwing his stick.

that is an interesting point..i never really thought about the whole throwing the stick thing in that situation.

Dear God that was awful. I'm sorry, Rangers fans.

beat dat deat up!

the OT winner was a fluky goal to be sure.Rangers held their own, but they are simply outclassed in this case. It doesn't help that washington is probably playing with some intensity from previous losses earlier this year. Thanks to 24/7, we all got second hand experience about some of the beaking. "Nice playoff beard". "Yeah you'll see".

Washington looks good now. I wish bostons top line had half the talent washingtons does. Arnott still has it too. A rematch of the penguins and washington in the second or third round would be nice. (yes that means I dont expect boston to be in it)

I'm still ****ed off about Devorski single-handedly stopping a 2-0 for the Rangers by getting in Dubinsky's way. Why the hell was he in skating around in the offensive zone like that? There's no excuse for being in that position, not to mention the fact that Washington was in the midst of a change where they had 8 guys on the ice simultaneously. The referee-ing has been so inconsistent all series. I can't imagine how the Rangers and Caps players are thinking.

Tell MEg the cheap bastard should be behind bars!:p
But enough about John Scott (oh no I DIDN'T! )

BTW: I don't usually commiserate with New York fans, but dear Parise did that loss last night suck... I'm so sorry.

Would have to say that last night could go down as the most gut wrenching loss in the history (modern day) of the New York Rangers. I have never left MSG feeling as bad about a single game as I did last night. I didnt expect they would win this series but was sitting there thinking how much they had the Caps on the ropes after the 2nd period. Probably going to be very tough to get a W in game 5 but overall I think the future is bright. For a change Sather is doing things the right way and if they can get Richards (Dallas) this summer and add a healthy Callahan & Frolov to this lineup, they might be able to contend for a top 4 spot.

NHL alumni play a little ball hockey in Kandahar.

Dear VS. Please, Never ever give Kenny Albert another stand up spot in front of the camera.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

No Thomas, and this would be 4 or 5 to nothing. Tremendous start by the Canadiens.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

No doubt. Since when has he been doing hockey?

He's been doing hockey since early 1990s with the Caps, then in 1995 he become the Rangers play-by-play. Back when Fox had hockey he was one of the play by plays. I think he calls a very good game, but like I said earlier, he's got the look for radio.

He also calls Olympic Hockey for NBC. Also noticed there is no color guy, except for Panger who is betwee/behind the glass. VS. going cheap on this one.
