Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Good lord. Florida is an absolute train wreck. What a roster of overpaid crap.

The effect of the salary floor, puts them in a terrible position of having to spend money on players that they don't want and are just going to limit the development of their current players. The worst part is that they are signing these player for 3 or 4 years which means that they are just going to be a huge (and expensive) anchor on the organization before they expire.

Carcillo signs in Chicago.

Just what the Western Conference needed: More ******nozzles.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Sharks sign Michal Handzus for 2 years, 2.5 per. He'll bump a lot of the Sharks other forwards down on the PK.

Dear New York Rangers,

Free agency started at midnight. You can sign players if you want. Just a thought.

Good, having our best players handling the bulk of PK time was ridiculous.

Richards is the prize. Relax. Buffalo is probably out now that they got Leino. It's basically down to us and toronto. If we get Richards and resign Dubinsky and Callahan to reasonable deals we'll be fine.

I wouldn't count out Calgary. They threw out some impressive numbers, and Iginla is giving Richards the pitch.

Edit: Dreger says Richards decision is expected before noon.
