That's awesome. I wish they'd continued that for about 45 seconds more.

"Is he brown? Is he brown, Mikey? Ask him if he wants to come inside."

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

Thanks to a reminder from BBDL, I picked up a 10-game pack for the Wild. I like getting them before public sale of single game tickets (Aug 20 this year). So I got in just under the wire.

Dissappointed that Montreal doesn't come to town at all this year. But I do get to see Pit, Fla, Dal, Van, Chi, LA, Col, TB, SJ, Nsh.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

In what is frankly, a stunning development to me, one of two new groups interested in purchasing the Phoenix Coyotes is led by former Sharks CEO-President Greg Jamison. He was basically the front man for the dozen or so investors that have owned the Sharks post-Gund (1994-95, I believe) until he "retired" last summer and would probably be the NHL's best, last, scenario to salvage anything in the desert having built the Sharks up as one of the more successful "Sun Belt" franchises.

He'd have to sell his small remaining share in San Jose if he did buy the Coyotes. You have to think that Bettman went to him and offered him a sweetheart deal to see if he could work his magic twice.

I know Canada thinks that the Sharks are a "Sun Belt" team, but they aren't IMO. Just sayin' while I have another drink. ;)

But yeah, at this point I'm picturing Bettman down on his knees with any super-wealthy businessmen looking to blow money.
