Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

I root for the NCAA as much as you, but remove those blinders for a sec. They said Saginaw will push for him to join their team, and they were pretty even-handed in their treatment of J.T. Miller's decision of Plymouth vs. UND.

It's TSN; it's not like they're not going to openly root for the NCAA route.
Bob's kid DID go to SLU. He understands the NCAA route for those who would benefit from it. For others, the CHL route is better.

Re: 2011 NHL Off-Season: The Puck Boat edition

And of course, the first NCAA guy drafted the TSN guys immediately bring up, "Well, everyone will be pushing for him to join the OHL."

From Bob McKenzie's book;
I am not here to tell anyone how much better the college hockey experience is than major junior. There are OHL organizations to which I would never entrust the care of my son, but there are some college coaches or programs I would put in the same category.

"Minnesota nice" doesn't extend to foreigners speaking some cheese eating surrender monkey language, apparently.

On my third scotch. Gotta psych myself up for whatever prospect the Red Wings will bury in Grand Rapids for five years. ;)

Sharks trade Setoguchi, Coyle and their 1st for Brett Burns and Minnesota's 2nd in 2012

Klefbom sounds thrilled to be picked by Edmonton...

"...is this the right situation?"

"Well, I don't know..."

I feel smarter for discussing a possible trade involving these teams and these players with you the other day (well not Coyle, but whatever). :D
