The coaches switched up line combos yesterday as compared to Tuesdays practice. Obviously experimenting with line chemistry, etc. Nate Schmidt wasn't practicing yesterday (he was on Tuesday). Apparently must have some sort of injury (could be very minor. I have no idea).
Mostly 5 on 5 work yesterday. Great to have Guentzel back.![]()
Gophers get a commitment from Gabe Guertler. Another HUGE commitment for the Gophers, and the first one ever by a player south of Missouri.
That's a great pickup for Minnesota. I know North Dakota and DU were going after him pretty hard. I have a feeling that a couple other big recruits are going to find their way to the Gophers as well. Things are definitely looking up for the program right now.
Thanks. I hope so. Not that your recruiting class leaves you guys anything to worry about![]()
We've lost some big recruiting battles this summer, and are not favorites in a couple of others. We do tend to find the right mix of players though, so I'm not terribly worried.

I recognize the name as being a bigger name, but I can't for the life of me remember much about him. Can someone fill me in? (Getting old reeks havok on your memory! Or was it the frequent binge drinking in college?)) What year? What kind of player, etc? Thanks.Gophers get a commitment from Gabe Guertler.
