2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

Re: 2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

WHo gets hurt the most by the 2 week layoff? I think UMD, I'll bet their goalie cools off seeing as he is just recently their starter.

OTOH, one can say that there is one player who is very much helped by the layoff- our D-man Brandon Burlon. It was reported yesterday that his bad raction to the strep drug he was taking was bad enough that he *just* started skating monday, and if the FF was this weekend, there's no way he would play.

He still may not, but one extra week does mean a lot.

As for the teams- IMHO, it does help, some- if managed right. They now have a week without too many major distractions (not that Media at the Frozen Four is as bad as the bouncy ball guys), so they can really focus on some items the coaches want to do. Of course, that can backfire....

But I would agree with walrus that a week off is not good for a hot goalie.

1. Yes.
2. What the hell are you talking about?
3. Better question for you, which Twin Cities area Wal-Mart are you parking your house?

1. Great.

FYI, there are no wal-mart's inside of the Minneapolis or St. Paul proper so my 8 mullet haired children and I will be staying in New Brighton and sniffing the door handles at the Excel trying to get in.

1. Sweet
2. Your image failed. Somehow I know that is a good thing.
3. Good choice on a city. It sucks there isn't a Wal-Mart in Mpls or StP proper but your children and their mullets will enjoy New Brighton. Also I didn't know Microsoft Excel was sponsoring the Xcel Energy Center. Cool though!

The image works on my computer, maybe the internet connection at your halfway house is bad? Excel, xcel, accel either way I'm locking my family in the garage with a culligan water cooler and food mountain while I RV to Ralph Engelstad East to drink Old Style and eat what I kill in the wal-mart parking lot.

I'm impressed you have a garage!

Hopefully it cools off the Sioux, but yea I'm worried it will hurt Reiter but the Bulldog offense is hot as well and thats hard to stop.

Spoken by someone who knows nothing about our program.

I'm sure the two weeks will be more than enough for the UMD players to regret the decision to look like a bunch of high school losers by bleaching their hair. It was a stupid idea four years ago when the Gophers did it and it's an even dumber idea now.

Since the UMD players have already copied UMTC players, will Champ also be copying Goldy? Rumors are that Ciskie has already copied Woog, so it would only make sense for Champ to follow suit. Maybe Sandy should wear a neckbrace like Lucia too!

Explain to me how "the Program" is going to keep a goalie focused with a longer than usual layoff

Your comment that he was "recently named the starter" is incorrect. He regularly started throughout the season. He hasn't been sitting on the bench all year.

And now, back to laughing at your team's sad waste of a season. I guess you had your national championship back when you beat North Dakota.

But he has been splitting time until just recently, correct? Btw you don't have to get mad about it

you caught another one of my misprints. Its not really a garage its more like the boarded up bedroom where my meth lab exploded that I now use for parking 3 wheelers that don't run and as a panic room for when operation repo shows up once a week.

RWD gets beside herself when people, in her opinion, don't respect tDogs and usually over reacts. She's like an SCSU fan that way...

The her opinion explains alot. Thanks for the clarification
