2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

Re: 2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

I'm going to be IN the arena and STILL rooting for an arena collapse.

Hopefully the pillar landing on you will clear a nice walkway for me to walk out of the arena unscathed.

Re: 2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

Is that your only hope that tUMD doesn't lose? :p ;) :D

No, it would just be a nice culling of the herd.

At the slightest hint of arena collapse I'm grabbing onto you and using you as a human shield. Which I hope will not result in pop spilling on me AGAIN.

Keep your Biddys under control and it won't happen.

Dirty's what, 5'2 and about 100 lbs? You'd be better off using DHG as the shield.

I get it guys. I have a weight problem. You don't have to keep repeating it over and over again. I have feelings too you know.

If only somebody...anybody...cared a lick about Dirty's feelings. But, no one does.

Re: 2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

For those of you making insinuations about my motivations here (homerism, etc), give me your email address and I'll contact you next time your team isn't in the FF. If you're going (as I will be this year and most years), we can talk then, 'k?

Dude, weak.

I've been to all the Frozen Four's since the last time Boston hosted it. Figured on rooting for something, including the 4 WCHA teams in Columbus.

This is the 2nd time since Boston that Michigan has been in the Frozen Four.

Since you are coming, I'll let you buy me a beer, but a wine would probably be more appropriate, I suppose.

Re: 2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

This makes me want to vomit by the fight songs alone.

As a BC fan there is nothing in this for me. Michigan: I still hate them from '98.

Really? So the 2001 semi-finals weren't good enough for you? If losing in 1998 is enough to create bitterness to that nature, try this Frozen Four track record compared to BC's:
2008: semifinal loss to Notre Dame, 5-4 in overtime — Denver (#1 team in country)
2003: semifinal loss to Minnesota, 3-2 in overtime — Buffalo
2002: semifinal loss to Minnesota, 3-2 — St. Paul
2001: semifinal loss to Boston College, 4-2 — Albany
1998: defeated New Hampshire 4-0, defeated Boston College 3-2 (OT) in title game — Boston
1997: semifinal loss to Boston University, 3-2 — Milwaukee (#1 team in country)
1996: defeated Boston University 4-0, defeated Colorado College 3-2 (OT) in title game — Cincinnati
1995: semifinal loss to Maine, 4-3 (OT) — Providence
1993: semifinal loss to Maine, 4-3 (OT) — Milwaukee

We get it, NoDak should easily win on paper but this is why they play the games. Go Blue!

Re: 2011 Frozen Four Thread - Minnesota Duluth - Notre Dame - North Dakota - Michigan

See! This is why we play the fight song so much. We have trolls like UMICH that still don't know the words. I just called Revelli Hall and told them to play The Victors an extra dozen times each period until UMICH learns it correctly.

OMG! I seriously can't believe that I wrote that. I even went back to that post to check. I am extremely humbled. Thanks for pointing that out, I need to punish myself. Wow is all that I can say...

Butu actually, at home games at Yost the Pep Band doesn't play The Victors that much, maybe that's why? Or maybe I was just drunk when I wrote that?:(
