I will never understand this mindset. I get the Twins thing, but I'd much rather them make the playoffs and lose to the Yankees.....again, in the first round. I'd much rather have the Gopher Basketball make the big dance and lose in the first round than go the NIT. I can go on and on. I don't get that. Whether they crap the bed or not doesn't matter to me this year. They have a "home" regional and getting into the tourney is what most of us fans wanted to see as improvement this year over the last three. If they happen to win a couple games, obviously we will all be very pleased.:D

Can they do that?!

I know there was the big argument a few years back about the NCAA "letting" sconnie in because they had a "home" regional. But really they were actually in based on PWR even though some fans overlooked that. I believe that was the year of the epic first round series in Kato and the Mavs ended up missing the tourney and they were in a stink because sconnie got in.

Yeah, I didn't think so. They are just going to let the Gophers in because the have a regional.

As soon as I posted about the sconnie thing, I saw your post on GPL, Scoobs. Should have checked all my sources first.:)

Well you are entitled to your opinion. I just know that after two "home" regionals for the Gophers in the recent past that they failed to attend(one of which I had tickets for and sold and one that I attended anyway), I would be happy to just watch the Gophers in a regional. That's all I'm saying.

No they won't. If there are no upsets and the top 15 get into the tournament with the AHA being the 16th team, if MN is #16 in the pairwise on selection Sunday, they aren't making the tournament. It's as simple as that.

This team is horrible. We'll be lucky if they win any more games. Number 1 in the WCHA means nothing. They'll never make the playoffs. They look horrible every Friday night. They will probably end up 12th in the WCHA by the end. They take way too many penalties. The coaches can't coach. The season is over!!!
