I don't want to see Philly win, but I would like to go to the Hall of Fame, and see JVR's name on the cup. Meh.

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs IV: "The game puck just got Prongered"

just an FYI, the jenn sterger live video chat is on versus.com not vs.com

(though she is probably on that site too)

If you have a DVR and want to start an argument with a group of hockey fans, show the game winner and see how many people think it went in off the lead skate.

I thought that right away, but it clearly didn't do that. :o

This is one of the opinions. It went stick and then if it missed the lead skate it was by a fraction. I think it changed direction ever so slightly and more noticeably wobble, but the Hawks got the heck out of dodge and I'm sure the refs had no desire to look at anything but a clear kick in.

It looked like he raised his skate to AVOID the kick in, but the puck didn't "do what it was told" and came closer than planned.

Whether it hit the skate or not, that's not even remotely a "distinct kicking motion". There's no argument on that goal, other than arguing over who ordered the <s>Code Red</s> line change.

This is the most fun part of the argument; he made a distinct kicking motion with the fairly clear intent to avoid kicking the puck.

If you know hockey, yes. ;)

Maybe it helps if you argue about rules for a living, too.

Just hinting at the multitude of internetters that are casual hockey fans. Probably the same ones clamoring for a BTHC, or that think that the NBC could've shown all Finals games on their channel. ;)

Who are these TV markets that are somehow unable to get Vs.?

Chicago.

Comcast stated on one of the local stations last night that only "up to 80% of our subscribers in the Chicagoland region have the ability to watch versus."

RCN cable subscribers within the city do NOT get Versus as part of their package.

WOW cable subscribers are hit and miss if Versus is offered.

The game posted a 17.2 overnight rating in Chicago. Up from Game 1 on NBC, down from Game 2's massive 25.1.
