2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

Re: 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs III: "Don't Toews Me, Bro!"

I don't mind MAB in, but I wish he could get his minutes limited to 4th line forward duty and the PP. That's really all he's good for (and the 4th line forward duty is a stretch).

Having him playing a regular shift defensively is terrifying.

He's done nothing to warrant being on the PP either. He made some horrific decisions at the point last game...poor passes (the one to the empty point was wonderful), struggles to keep the puck in.

Sorry if I seem cranky. I just don't think MAB warrants any ice time whatsoever. And how Martin has handled this team does beg questions. For every good decision there have been downright stupifying ones. What in the heck was SK74 dressing for last game? And if you're going to play him, you may as well give him a chance to generate offense; not play him 5 minutes with Metro and Darche. All this after being told to stay away from the team? What kind of message is that? (That's rhetorical and not directed toward you).

Joe Thornton's a -10...with just under a point a game, which I think is more of an accomplishment.

He still lasted longer than the Bruins, though.

Edit: ah, that harpoon has been thrown with greater elegance by Exile. I retract.

In response, I'll quote Damien Cox' bio:

People write things on the internet to stir up trouble? Also - I'm shocked that a Toronto Star columnist doesn't have the very best interests of Montreal at heart. :p

You have to admit, though, he's set himself up for a nice I-told-you-so if Halak looks gassed tonight. Guy's a pro.

Marc Andre Bergeron is just horrible, even on the PP. Rotten. Just rotten.

Dom Moore. Sweet. Hopefully JM understands now you have to play O'Byrne to win. ;)

Why didn't Burke want to resign Moore last summer?

In the first period, I heard Reaugh say the puck was "regurgitated by the pillows of Halak."

He's spending waaay too much time working with Benin-idiot!

I'll be so glad to watch game 4 on HNIC!

This is what I am talkng about with Martin. The kid dresses for the first time in 4 games, makes a mistake, and he's banished for the rest of the game? Geez, way to show confidence in the youngster. Think he'll be grippping the stick a bit tight should he see the ice again this series?

Meanwhile, MAB handles the puck like it is a live grenade, makes numerous turnovers ON THE PP, yet let's keep running him out there.

If Martin was smart (he's not), he'd get O'Byrne some ice time in the third if it remains 3-0. Shorten up the minutes for some of the other D and give O'B the chance.

I will not stand for any ripping on Daryl Reaugh here. Razor is the man.

The slash to the wrist leading to the scrum at the end of the game, all symbolizing the boiling irritation Joe Thornton feels due the antics of the Blackhawks' Dave Bolland ... well, it's news to Joe Thornton.

"I don't find him very irritating," the hulking Sharks center said Thursday after his team practiced at the United Center. "I find him very easy to play against, to be honest with you. I'm a pretty big guy and he's a little guy, so I don't find it too difficult at all."
/snicker.
