Method for seeding was purely based on post count (minus employees of USCHO).

Method for picking winners? I am not doing that. Making it was as far as I was going with it. Boredom makes us do strange things. I wouldn't want to go through all the effort anyways. :p

Edit: Oh, I passed 13,000...

As a contestant, I think it's a bad thing. Why? It's making a mockery of that person's knowledge/hockey knowledge. Think of it like a public stoning. ;)

Others take on a source of pride in it: "I got these people all riled up! Woo-hoo! I rule the interwebs!" :p

It's just something that started off as a lark, and grew into a tradition, IMO. As trivial as it is, it's "important" enough to carry on the tradition. CommAvHusky retired from running this a couple years ago, and I took on the tradition. Maybe someday, someone will inherit the responsibility from me. :cool:

POTY is something that, while nice to be in it because it comes with a certain status 'round here, you really don't want to win...
