Yeah, but going with the all time posters leaves out a lot of the younger new bloods that would make a strong run. Hockeydad and Umich come to mind for this year who are outside and looking in. That level of moronity deserves recognision and an award.

Oh come on Ralph, Its just one night where you gotta plug in the names and post count of all of the posters at the time, and then remember where you put the file later in a year. Another nite of putting in the new post counts and a little spreadsheet magic, and you'll have the top 100 list for the year, and as an added bonus, you'll be all set to go for next year as well. :D

No, it should be something that's earned over a period of time. If they are true posers, they will keep at it, and reach the top 100 in a couple of years or so. All that point if their moronity is still going strong they will get the recognition they deserve.

I'm sure a year is plenty of time for a very good amount of moronity to be posted by a Moron and would get us quality posers into the brackets here.

Idea I've been tinkering with: why not have PoTY autobids?

You could have autobids for various categories like worst academics, trolling, general classlessness, biggest dick move, most offensive, worst grammar/spelling, best drama starter, etc.

Then after the autobids, we go by post count until we have our 100, just like the PWR.

This would allow upstarts like ctf to get in and possibly go on a Cinderella run.

No one is stopping anyone from having an "NIT" of sorts, or a BCS Poll, or whatever.

And trust me, there is more work to this than one might think. :o

A poll would be pretty cool, it could include posters who aren't eligible, so we could know who was snubbed by the selection process. :p

I don't have the time to do it, at least not this week.

I noticed that too, but chose not to bring it up. She would not be that number normally except there are at least 2 people in the top 90 who are eliminated.

The real question, which is the bracket of death? To me its between Regions 1 and 2.

Brent has a nearly clear path to the Final Four in Region 3.
