2010 Milwaukee Brewers Offseason - Prince or no Prince?

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers Offseason - Prince or no Prince?

Hey! It's NINE DAYS until pitchers and catchers report! NINE!!!

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers Offseason - Prince or no Prince?

I know it's old-ish news, but I like the Kotsay pickup. It's great having versatile vets like Counsell and Kotsay on the bench knowing their roles instead of young guys who think they should be starting and don't have the mental approach you need.

UW Rose Bowl & Big 11 champs, Packers SB winners, UW men's & women's hockey will be forces in the playoffs, then it's time for the Crew to get to the World Series and complete one of the best years of WI sports ever.

The concession contest is over and the stupid sausage kebabs won. Because we need to have 451 different ways to eat sausage.

BUT -

The food folks at Miller Park liked the Canadian poutine so much that they decided to serve it, too. It will be offered at two locations - F1 on the Field Level and C2 on the Club Level.

woohoo! :D

I am anxiously awaiting the list of promotional giveaways. I really think this is gonna be the Cirillo bobblehead year. ;)

Whats the deal with the Brewers and their Bobble head giveaways?
2011: John Axford, Casey McGehee, Zack Greinke, Klement's Hot Dog, Miller Lite Beer Vendor, Craig Counsell, Randy Wolf

2010: Bernie Brewer, Hank Aaron, Cecil Cooper, Robin Yount, Klement's Italian, CC Sabathia, Doug Melvin

2009: Barrelman, Ryan Braun, Trevor Hoffman, Jason Kendall, Klement's Bratwurst, Jeff Suppan

2008: Corey Hart, JJ Hardy, Klement's Polish, Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Klement's Chorizo, Rickie Weeks

Why haven't they done Prince Fielder or Rickie Weeks since 2008?

didn't there used to be a bobblehead curse? i thought it happened to turnbow last - after turnbow bobblehead day his very next outing was when his career went down the toilet

IIRC, the beginning of the end for Turnbow was the very day of his bobblehead. Sadly (for me), I was there to witness it. A Paul Lo Duca solo homer in the ninth. Ugh.

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers Offseason - Prince or no Prince?

For the record, the Brewers' odds to win the World Series, according to the Venitian Sports Book, are 25-1. I put $10 on them to win the World Series. Lets hope that happens! Not just because I'd get PAID!!!!, but because we all want to witness this. A Packer Super Bowl and Brewer W.S. in the same year may just kill me. But in a good way.

you got in too late, I have $20 on them at 50-1!

I think the sausage bobbleheads are kinda lame (please note that I do like the racing sausages themselves, I am not sacreligious). And the hot dog one is on my birthday. booooooooooo

Maybe Prince will get another bobblehead after he hits the Series winning home run for the Brewers this year, like Ryan Braun got another one after he hit the home run off Howry. ;)

Single game tickets go on sale Feb 26th.

happy spring training, brewers fans :D

Re: 2010 Milwaukee Brewers Offseason - Prince or no Prince?

So I think I have a pretty darn good title cooked up for the regular season thread. When do folks think I should start it? Should I start it now that some of the fellas are officially reporting to AZ or should I wait until right before Opening Day?

If it's not "The Reign of Yuniesky Betancourt", I don't want to be part of it.

Seriously, I'm fine with either. It doesn't feel like the regular season yet, but it's not really the offseason anymore.
