My apologies to all for posting the same entry 3 times this morning - I was still trying to work the kinks out as I'm not up to speed on the little details of message board posting! :)

Welcome, and pay no attention to the bozos behind the curtains. Well, I do pay attention but that's for the entertainment value :D

Between 6am EST and 7EST the board goes into a funk and it looks like the board locks up but its just really slow and the post will show up about 10 or 15 minutes later. Also if you click edit on one of the duplicate posts you can delete the extra posts

That's exactly what happened, I thought it was my computer so I hit the "submit" button a couple of times - then gave up and shut down as I had to leave for work.

Thanks for the info.....

Anyone know the age cutoff for ticket requirements at Alfond? How old does a kid have to be before they require them to have their own seat? 2? 3?

How long have you been watching Tim teams?

Since he was an asst at Lowell.

did ya see yale score almost 10 goals in a single NCAA tournament game? and lose? Offense is not gonna help if that is all ya got.

Offense sells tickets; defense wins championships.

Of course, when his teams were in a bunch of 1-0 games, certain people here lamented that his teams had no offense. Now that his teams have a potent offense people b!tc# that the defense isn't good enough...

do you realize that there is a good chance that he will force all 5 skaters to play D and not take ANY chances? (I doubt he will do that, as he seems only to do that when he has a goalie that he knows is the best in the country)

So he either will or he won't...thanks for narrowing that down for us.

what percentage of Maine's goals were on the PP?

About 44% BC was only 26%, but they were also only 21% on the PP. Maine was 28%.

what happens if Maine's opponents do not take stupid (or any) penalties?

The planet will spin off its axis, the continents will smash into each other and Hell will literally freeze over. Fortunately I can promise you that that won't happen.

I surely hope that maine's offense is potent, but I have no reason to KNOW that it will be, right out of the gate.

It's best to assume the worst. Maine will go 0-34 this year.

They start practice today, tomorrow we should see what the goaltending looks like. Wish Ouellette was playing

If the child can sit on your lap why would you have to buy a ticket for him/her?

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

The season was not lost last year when the team wasn't scoring and went 1-5 out of the gate. It was lost in the 2-7 stretch spanning Feb. 12-March 12.

Does anyone know if the pep band will be at tomorrow’s game? I assumed they would but they weren’t at the Blue & White game last year but were at the U-18.

...Do you or does anyone know the extent of Ouellette's injury..? {I saw on this board that it was a ankle injury/but no mention on how serious it was/and if it was a sprain or bruise..}...It would have been nice to get Ouellette some ice time on Sunday...hopefully he gets better and gets to play next weekend vs either UML or UConn.

Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater

although it would be nice to see oullette play to get some experience, sirman was going to win the job regardless.

i talked with a member of the team who told me that sirman was probably going to win the job.

all of this oullette love seems to be a bit overboard. he'll likely be the first backup when healthy, and get looks if sirman struggles.

Thankfully, Sirman will be playing vs. UConn and Lowell first. If he lays an egg vs. those teams then I'm sure other goaltending options will be examined prior to the roadtrip to Michigan State and home games vs. NoDak.
