Re: 2010 Maine offseason: a lazy summer on the Stillwater
I don't think I've ever said a negative word about Grant. On the contrary, I think he was entitled to retire from recruiting and spend time with his family and friends. Certain people here would have Grant recruiting into his 90's. If they'd had their druthers, he would have been pitching Maine until the day he finally keels over.
I also don't think I've made many negative comments about Shawn. I simply don't engage in the hero worship that certain others do. I also have this nasty habit of defending the current coach and pointing out that things aren't as bad under his leadership and things weren't as rosy under Shawn's leadership as get portrayed here. It's not my fault that certain people interpret perspective as a "slam" against the man.
Unlike at least one person who has a wealth of experience and knowledge and refuses to share it, besides the occasional slam on Shawn and Grant for their unethical behavior and how the poster was "on the team" perpetrating the misdeeds.
