Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

Just read the following quote on the WUML website:

Webstream Back Up
1/27/2011

The Webstream is back up. It is currently only available in a realaudio file, which means it will play in Realplayer and VLC Player. This is a temporary fix and the old options will return ASAP. We greatly appreciate your patience with us as we worked to get this fix, and your further patience as we get it back to how it was.
Thank You,
Will the Webmaster

The feed was good for the Bentley game so hopefully everything will be ok for the rest of the season.

Looking for another hard-fought game this weekend. It would be great to steal one from BC at home in front of a sellout but I'd settle for an exciting game, regardless of the outcome. PK has to do something or the five-forward BC PP unit will score a lot again (but maybe Pendenza can sneak in another shortie).

Not sure who we'll see in net. Assume Boulanger earned the start in his last game. BC might play Muse (only BC game this weekend) or Milner (against HE 10th place team). Either way, it will be a tough game.

BC sends Muse tomorrow

If WULM is in trouble, the game is also on WCAP live...wcap980.com

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

Tonight's results for the River Hawks was perfect as UMA, PC, and Vermont all lost.

With an expected crowd in a banged out barn of 6000+ it will be very interesting to see how the boys come out and if they can steal some points away from the contest. Even one point with losses again by Vermont and Providence would be beneficial.

Goaltending clinic at Merrimack tonight as I went there after work. If not for Madore for the first half of the game, Merrimack would have put up a touchdown. If not for Cannata, Merrimack would have blown that 2-0 lead. Vermont's defense is awful and Merrimack's defense wasn't good at all in the third. Hopefully, Merrimack can come away with the sweep so at worse we stay three behind Vermont, especially since PC/Vermont get together for two next week.

I listened to most of that game and was surprised Cannata got the first star of the game. It sounded like Madore had the much tougher night.

After tomorrow night, Lowell will only have two games over the next two weekends. The Hawks need to find a way to take some points as the teams above them will all be playing their games at hand. UMA, PC and UVM will still have two games at hand on Lowell after tomorrow night.

A couple of wins, and the hope to sneak into the playoffs is back I see. ;)

I want that Koolaid!

Reading the BU thread. Heh. There are a few people in there who have no idea how college hockey works. Excellent entertainment.:p

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

Other than the home opener, this is the most excited I've been for a game this season. The fact that it'll be a sell out, my desperate hope that the students pack their section ... c'mon Lowell! This season needs a highlight win, let this be it.

Lowell will likely get demolished. UML got BC's attention last weekend and now BC will probably be loaded for bear (plus Muse will likely play). Sounds like a good time.

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

I don't care if they win as long as they put in a solid effort. The avg fan in the seats is too clueless to know bad play as long as it looks intense.

Re: 2010/2011 UML In-Season Thread

Points tonight will mean a bona fide "hope-for-the-future game." This is where our program is at, and this is what we desperately need

I'm not sure about the playoffs, but it would be nice to avoid a last place finish.

Looking forward to tonight's game. The Hawks need to stay out of the box, the penalties killed them last weekend.

Unpossible. Diving 101 is a required course for the Beagles. We really should teach that to our guys. No one has been very good at it since Christian Sbrocca drew a few penalties every game. He used to slap his stick as he hit and they always fell for it. I have been happy to see them call embelishment a few times in the last few games I have watched.

Anyone wearing pink tonight? Unfortunately I don't own any pink articles of clothing.

I have too much pink clothing at this point... 1 polo shirt and 3 kickball shirts. :p
