2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Re: 2010-2011 Scores and Highlights

Harvard victor over Dartmouth tonight, 5-3. Shots 25/23, Harvard, Face offs 32/21 Harvard. Penalty minutes 8 (D) and 14 (H). Dartmouth brought it up to 4-3 within three minutes of the bell but Chute got an empty net goal to cinch the win. Three goals for Dartmouth on the power play. Naught for the Crimson.

Attendance: 1013.:)

There is no way attendence was over 500. Even counting staff and players you'd be hard pressed to get anywhere near four digits.

Agreed. My guess is that there was somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 to 450.

Gophers get a big three points in the WCHA standings with a 1-0 win at Minnesota State. Sarah Erickson with a wrap-around backhanded roofer for the lone goal. Noora Räty with 27 saves for her 5th shutout of the season.

Ohio State beats UMD 4-2. Ouch.

Nice bounce back win for us after getting swept at home last weekend by Minnesota State. It was nice to have Natalie Spooner back. Good luck tomorrow night. Is it just me or does it seem like the WCHA teams are going to beat each other up this season (figuratively, of course, not talking about girls dropping the gloves)? Seems like on any given night, anyone can pull off a win. I was just hoping for a split this weekend, to be honest, so we will at least get that.

Spooner is scary good. She'll challenge Langan and McIntosh for bragging rights as OSU's scoring leader. Is it Sunday yet?

Now there's something we can agree on ... that Natalie is scary good. We are very fortunate to have her here at OSU. Not quite Sunday, yet, though. Don't fret, there, Mr. Schmoe, your Bulldogs may win tonight and get a split. Hope you are able to make it down to C-bus for the return match later this season.

Cornell up 4-0 on Quinnipiac after one. Goals were A. Overguard from Fortino and Ogilvie, Karpenko from White and Hughes, Campbell from Johnston, and Hughes from Rougeau and Fortino. Shots on goal after 1 are 13-5. Cornell is looking significantly crisper in their play than they did yesterday.

After 2, BC 5 BU 1. BC has had a chance to really put things away, but were unable to convert on a 5 on 3 power play. Seems like the BU canadian olympians are on the ice every shift. they seem to never tire.
After 1, its BC 3 and BU 0. BC also had a goal called back upon review.
