I only wish I could have heard the crybaby Pittsburgh announcers. The game the other night against LA was embarrassing. On the game winning goal in OT, the color guy yells "here we go!" after a Jack Johnson turnover leading to the break.

As a Bruins fan, it's nice knowing there's someone worse than Jack Edwards.

And when a team is killing you, might not be the best time to call them out for being the worst time in hockey.

Martin nearly Bertuzzi'd Talbot, which was not so good.

The rest of it was fun though. Especially Haley wrestling Talbot down, then getting up and skating all the way down for a crack at Johnson.

According to Konopka, the game was their response to Johnson & Fleury allegedly laughing it up on the bench after DiPietro went down.

The word is that Herr Bettman will be personally involved in the discipline process. Break out your tinfoil hats everyone! :D ;)

I don't know about that one. Add in the Penguins color guy yelling "here we go!" the other night and it's a no contest.

Edwards is biased, Steigs actively roots for the Penguins like he is ON the Penguins. No contest.

I still hate Edwards though.

Bruins need to change...something. They just look awful against faster teams. Even IF they make it to the Finals, they're getting swept at this rate. Disgusting. Chiarelli better make some moves. We need a Captain on the Power Play badly.

Mario is peeved.

Mario Lemieux is concerned about the direction of the NHL.

The Pittsburgh Penguins co-owner released a scathing statement Sunday about the league's handling of a fight-filled game between his team and the New York Islanders.

Lemieux called Friday's game a "travesty" and said the NHL "failed" to deliver a clear and strong message about what conduct is acceptable.

On Saturday night, league disciplinarian Colin Campbell held an in-person hearing with the Islanders before announcing the punishment — giving Trevor Gillies a nine-game suspension, Matt Martin a four-game suspension and fining the team $100,000 US.

That wasn't enough to satisfy Lemieux.

"We, as a league, must do a better job of protecting the integrity of the game and the safety of our players," the Hockey Hall of Famer said in his statement. "We must make it clear that those kinds of actions will not be tolerated and will be met with meaningful disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, New York Islanders general manager Garth Snow accepted the NHL's punishment following a fight-filled game against Pittsburgh. He's just wondering why the Penguins also weren't fined $100,000.

Snow spoke before the Islanders' game at Buffalo, a day after Campbell fined the team for failing to control its players. The punishment followed the Islanders' 9-3 win over Pittsburgh on Friday in a game that produced 346 penalty minutes.

The Penguins were not fined, and only Eric Godard was suspended 10 games for leaving the bench to join a third-period brawl.

Snow said he was surprised the Penguins also weren't fined, while noting that no Islanders player left the bench to fight.

The Wild have gone 8-2 their past 10, yet most teams immediately below and above them in the standings have similar records their past 10 as well. The rest of the season should be fun to watch, but it might quite possibly make for some exhausted teams come playoff time.

I guess Mario wanted the Islanders to forfeit the rest of their schedule?
In fairness, they'd only lose a few more games that way than they will by actually PLAYING the games.

Matt Cooke is on your payroll. **** about the safety of the players.

That was a thoroughly satisfying win. :)

With the news of Savard contemplating retirement, I bet you Collie Campbell is dancing a jig.
