That game just reminds me of Paul Newman promoting "Old Time Hockey" :)

Re: 2010-2011 NHL Season Part II - Concussions Are Serious Business, Savvy?

Was there something after VS. cut away?

20:00 Montreal fighting - 5 min R. Hamrlik drawn by S. Thornton
20:00 Montreal game misconduct - 10 min R. Hamrlik

That was part of the fights that happened with 40 secs left. Has to be an error on the box

When it rains in Ranger land, it pours. Drury out 6 weeks due to knee surgery.

If another Ranger had to get hurt at least it was a fourth line player this time. Only bad side is that now nobody on the Rangers will be able to win a faceoff.

What a game. Wish I had bit the bullet and gone, even alone it would've been fantastic. (I've never gone to a game alone...I think it would be weird.)

I will be watching Bruins in 2 tonight at Midnight. I watched the Versus broadcast, didn't realize NESN had the game. I wanna hear Jack!

I wanna hear Jack!

I don't think he'd be more excited if he orgasmed during a threesome with Scarlett Johanssen and Bridget the Midget on his birthday after snorting 3 eight-balls simultaneously at Disney World.

The commentary on NHL on the Fly isn't too kind to the Bruins and Marchand in particular. They just had a graphic up, "Marchand's dirty hit incites bad blood".

You also have both Price and Pouliot laying off of Thomas and Krejci...while Thornton and Boychuck beat up two 38 year old defensemen that never fight. Surprised by Thornotn's actions as he's typcially been more respectful than that.

Maybe it was directed at the Montreal fans at the game.

Exactly. Wasn't at the game, so don't know for sure, but very well could have been.

And maybe the Canadiens will call me up to play tomorrow night.

Are you a good punching bag?

And I would expect some disciplinary action - not sure if McQuaid got the instigator at the end.

Edit: He didn't even get five for fighting, which is comical. Double minor roughing. OK!

I don't expect any disciplinary action. It's just too bad Pacioretty is a puss.

Couldn't care less. Marchand's hit was absolutely a penalty, but it wasn't "dirty". We throw that around way to easily these days.

Both Thomas and Krejci fell down. If you were a Bruins fan you'd be saying "why did so and so go after Krejci--he's not a fighter" and "why did Price fight old man Thomas". That's entirely different than just letting up on someone because of their age. Stop whining already.

JD, I want some of what you're smoking. Seriously, that's rich.

The Red Wing look forward to playing all 3 remaining Bruins on Friday.

Relax, the Wings never play all that well against the East. Howard will cough up at least four, and our backup is MacDonald.

.

It's nice of them to host a pity party, but there's been about 4 years of bad blood leading up to last night, 80% not involving Marchand at all.

Too bad Toucher and Rich were off today. There's a solid 4 hours of material on Jack Edwards' insane rantings to be mined!

LOL. Ya, I'm the delusional one. Try me...

I'm going to pass. You strike me as very similar to the crazy people I used to encounter on the T; that would just spout things off that made no sense. Best to ignore and hope they wander off.

That's an interesting point of view; I guess I didn't see it that way (4 years of bad blood). After Montreal blew up the team (summer of '09), the cast of characters is completely different than the last time this rivalry had any sizzle. What's happened in the last two seasons of any consequence between the two teams? Mostly a lot of tedious, defense first games. I get Lucic pounding down Komisarek in '08; that was blood lust, and a long time in the making. But Thornton and Boychuck grabbing Spacek and Hamrlik? Not sure what that was all about.

Typical. Rather than just bash my opinion, why don't you try responding to ANYTHING I've said.

But Thornton and Boychuck grabbing Spacek and Hamrlik? Not sure what that was all about.

You must have hated Pouliot going after Krejci and Moen going after a much smaller Ference. It goes both ways. It just so happened that those were the guys on the ice. Would you have preferred the big, bad Bruins go to the Montreal bench and politely ask if anyone wanted to dance? My whole point here is to try and pin this on one team is ridiculous. Montreal shared the "blame" as well. I put blame in quotations because I loved everything that happened last night. Teams have to stick up for one another on occasion. Doesn't happen often like this, I just can't stand the whining when it does. If you and your precious team don't like it, maybe you should look in the mirror and realize you need a tougher team. Seems to be working for the first place Bruins.

BTW, Boychuk is not a fighter either and Roman Hamrlik is a big dude. It's not like Chara went after Gionta or something. Looked like Subban may have gone with Lucic if the ref wasn't in the way (I'm sure you would complain about that too), but the highlight of the night was Pacioretty turtling when McQuaid wanted a piece.

Carrie Underwood hates Canada, as Mike Fisher gets traded to Nashville.
