NBA Playoffs are boring. The style of play that draws people into regular season games disappears and we get 83-80 games.

I disagree. I think playoff hockey is wildly uninteresting and all the playoff rounds will be horrible to watch. We should all watch basketball instead. Because it's well officiated and not run by a power hungry megalomaniac.
In fairness, both leagues are run by power hungry megalomaniacs.

Phils in 5, Bruins in 7, Lightning in 6. Canucks in 6, Sharks in 5, Wings in 5, Ducks in 6.

No prediction about the Rangers series here. Nobody in the NHL scares me more than Ovechkin, but everyone else on the Caps scares me about as much as the Pens without Malkin and Crosby. (Maybe Green's shot from the point, especially after Callahan got hurt blocking one from Chara.) If the Caps find secondary scoring I don't think the Rangers have much of a chance, but if not I think they could steal the series.

Edit to add: Err, by "Phils" I mean "Flyers".

Exactly. The NBA is going to become a 5 or 6 team league anyway. Hopefully they will shut down after June 30th.

Could the disaster in the desert be over? GLM tweeted that there are rumors as to it, but then followed it up with continued denial from the NHL.

I know they wouldn't want to admit it before the 'Yotes get eliminated, but compulsively lying seems to be worse than announcing a lame duck team.

Anyone have any streaming links for the games?

Was thinking Kyle Turris might be a bust, but ****, what a snipe that was.

I hope the Coyotes win the cup. If only for the Twitter hilarity that would follow.

Could the Rangers please stop giving the puck away in their own zone? Thanks.

I'm going to laugh a lot when the Winnipeg Whatevers become the Oilers 2.0 and languish in the basement because no one in their right mind will ever want to sign a free agent deal in Winnipeg and players will sit on their NTC's like Heatley and Pronger to get out of there/not stay there.

Never thought I'd hear a favorable Todd Bertuzzi chant

The Rangers are unwatchable

BS, how do you not blow that dead when the puck is under Lundqvist's pad?

A tad slow blowing the whistle, but it wasnt overly late by any standards. I think the only question on whether that was a goal or not was if the net was on its pegs, and it was.

Didn't look like Lundqvist or Tortorella complained. Those are always tough calls on when to blow the whistle.

I'm not sure what that ref was doing. If the guy has time to take a 2nd jab at the goalie, the whistle should have been blown.

I'd like to thank the Caps for tying it up so I don't have to listen to the insufferable Blackhawks/Canucks game.

Don't know because VS is still airing the simulcast of the Rags/Caps game. :D
