anybody know when potsdam and Platts will invade the CC @ Oz this upcoming season?? ..should b the 1st half of the season.......thnks

That may change again as I keep hearing rumblings in the air that a program in northern new york maybe going D3 very soon.

I find it a little odd, but it's certainly the easiest way to go as long as those weekends are available for conference play. Just repeat the schedule, change the dates by one, and fill in the rest of the weekends with your non-conference games. With the odd number of teams due to the addition of Morrisville, it's probably best to keep it as consistent as possible.

If this is the case, then you can essentially figure out your school's SUNYAC schedule. The only question would be is everyone flipping home and away across the board from last year's schedule?

Yeah, but it's not like it's going to change for this upcoming season. ;)

There's all that probation stuff that needs to be taken care of, and the fall sports schedules are already released. And, we haven't even brought in the "moratorium" issue for discussion...

But if Canton really is going D3, the big question is are they joining the SUNYAC as a whole, or going the SUNYIT, Morrisville route, and joining NEAC except hockey goes to SUNYAC?

The Norwich/Castleton games are always intense and very exciting for the fans especially at the Rutland arena. This year Castleton has gone out and recruited 12 players some of whom look like they have scoring potential. I expect Castleton to improve a lot this year and be very competitive in the interlock, perhaps turning out to be one of the top teams. Norwich could of picked a much easier apponent but this fan is looking forward to seeing Castleton twice.

If Castleton is the first game on the schedule they will be the team Norwich faces when the new addition is open to the public in November. That would also generate a lot of interest in the game. Castleton/Norwich football game last year drew a large crowd at the new Castleton football facility; just wondering if maybe the football game and Castleton/Norwich hockey will be on the same day.

My understanding the game will indeed replace the ECAC NE game ... probably the last game before the exam/holiday break.

It's always fun dodging ice balls coming at your head...I can see why you guys love it!!! :)

I probable have attended at least 10 games at Rutland Ice Arena, talked to a number of Castleton players and fans and never had problems. Of course I think that guy in the Spartan helmet at games is ridiculous.
