2010-11 Schedules

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

3/5, Friday at Boston College
3/6, Saturday vs. Boston College

I'm assuming you/they mean Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th?

Is it lame that I've put the dates in my calendar already? Or that I'm sad most of the away games are on Fridays, which usually means I can't go?

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

As far as we know for RPI's non-conference schedule, there's at least one game at Colorado College, a game at Northeastern, a home game against BU, a pair of games at Alabama-Huntsville (who will also be in the RPI Tournament after Thanksgiving), and a non-conference game against Union, possibly in Lake Placid.

I think you are right, I'm pretty sure Union, RPI, Clarkson and SLU will be playing in the last weekend in October in Lake Placid.

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

How does CC play AFA on Nov. 12, as noted on their schedule, when Yale is Scheduled to play AFA that night?

Hmm, obviously one of these is off by a day or two. If Yale is playing AFA, it would most likely be that Sunday.

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

So from what I've learned both here and abroad -
Michigan State has

> October
1st or 2nd weekend home against Alabama-Huntsville
1st or 2nd weekend home against Maine
A pair on the road - at least one against a non-CCHA. opponent

> November
A game at Wisconsin + a game at Minnesota

> December
Boston U. @ Detroit (GLI)
A game against winner or loser of Michigan/MTU

4 games vs. Alaska, Ferris State, Michigan and Ohio State
2 games vs. Bowling Green, Lake Superior State, Miami, Northern Michigan, Notre Dame and Western Michigan

4 games vs. an even number of CCHA teams
2 games vs. an even number of CCHA teams

This should be BC, not BU.

Re: 2010-11 Schedules

Playoffs still TBA, as far as I know.

What was posted on the RIT site a while ago is that the playoffs may go by division for the first two rounds. # 3 vs. # 6, # 4 vs. # 5 in the first round and # 1 vs. remaining # 4, # 2 vs. remaining # 3 in the second round. This makes the imbalance even more of a big deal. It's going to be much more difficult to get to the BCA out of the West than out of the East, leaving some really good (in AHA terms) teams at home for the championships while possibly at least one team from the bottom half will "earn" their way there by beating another bottom half team.

Well heck, if you would just move your college to New England, the problem will be solved.
