2010-11 NHL Season part I: Blackhawks Down in Atlanta

Oh Christ. The Blackhawks bloggers are mentally challenged.

And therein lies the problem. Jeremy Morin is signed to a paltry 3-year contract in which his cap hit is only $916,666 when at the NHL level. As a rookie, Morin contract only loses that first year if he plays 10 games at the NHL level. So you can see (right?) that it is in the Blackhawk’s best interest, as a constantly dry humping the salary cap team to keep Morin’s cap hit low, meaning they don’t want to burn that first year off the contract until Morin is an everyday NHL player.

No dumbasses. He's on an entry level contract. Standard for rookies, and that gets burnt up anyway. That's why he's allowed to play in Rockford (where he's been since the start of the season).

Good God. Bandwagon fans are *ing annoying.

*edit* And worst of all, they duped PuckDaddy into running a link to their horsesh*.

Well, if he doesn't accumulate 10 NHL games this year, the first year of his ELC, the contract slides over an additional year and he won't be eligible for RFA status for another year.

I thought that was for OHL protected kids only?

Huh. Guess I was wrong. My bad.

Re: 2010-11 NHL Season part I: Blackhawks Down in Atlanta

So goalies might be partaking in shot accuracy and fastest skater at the all star game... I guess that's sweet?

Wow - half way through the game and the Leafs are winning!:D

Kessel ends his drought and Kaberle scores. Whoda thunk it??

Any team that makes Chris Osgood still look like a #1 goalie, is probably not very good. Looks like the Islanders and the Devils are competing to be the Tech of the NHL this year. They even make Calgary and Edmonton look competent.

Well, at least this Rangers game is better than any of today's ****ty football.

Re: 2010-11 NHL Season part I: Blackhawks Down in Atlanta

Mikko Koivu lost his stick, took Bobby Ryan's and started using it. Ryan eventually picked up Koivu's, and then scored with it. No, they do not shoot from the same side. Ridiculous.

Nabokov gets released from his KHL contract because of "Family Circumstances"

Huh. Your American born wife and American born and raised kids don't want to live in Russia for five years. Shocking.

Edit: His son might be ill, apparently.

Even with the son thing, your snark is justified.
