2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Well, mostly Handy whines about whiners. :p

And politicians, and movies he's not even going to see, and the fact he can't get any, and that he's bald, and that he has no friends, besides that he only whines about whiners. :)

ARM, you've made your long list of blunders on this site. This one was mine, you weren't marginalizing it.

I still think you're being pretty disingenuous.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I complain how the team plays...that isnt subjective that is fact. If Morneau goes 0-4 and the team leaves 12 runners on in a game that is something that is fact and as such can be complained about. (unless you are talking to uber homers who think that criticism of the team means you arent a true fan)

Whining because of a subjective call (i.e. strike zone, hockey penalty, pass interference) is BS because two people can look at the same play and see it differently. (even leaving out the bias) Just because you think every game called by every official is terrible doesn't mean the rest of the world does.

So to sum up: Me whining because the team plays bad is about 10 times more credible than you whining because you have an anti-official bias. We get it, you hate officials and 90% of the calls they make...congrats maybe you should cheer for UND :D

Wow...taking cheap shots that were out of date 8 years ago...just keep adding to your credibility there man.

(I will just ignore that you complain about politicians and movies too...that is irrelevent because apparently it is still the year 2000 according to your mediocre attempts at humor and insults)

Whatever no one takes you seriously anyways...run along...

Yeah maybe I do, but at least I will admit when I was wrong. Hell even Scooby does that...the next time TBA admits he was mistaken about an official sucking will be the first time.

edit: Since I have already admitted I had a horrid angle being at the game last night I will take everyone's word that Marsh's strike zone sucked but once again my question is, if it sucked both ways who really cares? No one was getting a decided advantage so how much could it really have affected the outcome?

And a question before the Inge debacle there was another hit batsmen that people seemed upset about. I couldnt see it obviously but what did it look like on TV?

It's already happened about 100 times on this board. Maybe you should read sometimes before just proving you're a fool.

Oh, and "if an umpire is bad both ways it means he is consistent" what a load of bull. That's not what consistent means. If an umpire has a strike zone, even if it is wide or high or low than the generic strike zone, that's fine and THAT is consistent if he calls it that way all game. Marsh's strike zone was changing throughout the game. He was brutal. And you already have admitted you didn't have as good a view as the people watching on tv, unless you have the seats directly behind HP, no one has as good a view as the people watching on tv. You were at the game. You can barely judge height, let alone width from any angle besides the one right behind HP.

Please take an LSAT, I have a feeling you might get the first negative score on the exam.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Wow I am done with this you win TBA, all officials suck, you are right and the world is wrong! Congrats on your greatness, I obviously would never do well on a test as amazing as the LSAT because I screwed up my usage of a word. (I didnt mean consistent, I meant it was a wash **** me and my horrible horrible lack of knowledge!) Please, do not hold all Twins fans to my obvious worthlessness, they are good people and I am sure some of them are somewhat worthy of being in your awe inspiring, omniscient presence!

I will go back to whining about being bald, never getting laid and having no friends because that is all I do, 24/7 apparently. Once again congrats on your victory!

How did the runners get on base? How many outs were there? How often were runners in scoring position? Did Thunder hit the ball well, but it happened to go right at someone? Details, man. :p

It was a HBP. The ball brushed the cuff of his pant leg.

Don't forget the whining about movies you aren't going to see. :D

All at bats for Morneau were with less than 2 outs, Morneau struck out swinging twice (both with RISP) and had two infield flies. The Twins had 7 hits in the game (all obviously not with RISP) and a smattering of walks. That is the best I can do on short notice! :D

I figured it was a HBP but seriously no one could tell where we were. Being on the third baseline basically means you can only see the height of a pitch.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I agree with TBA on this ump situation, but I'm really sick of hearing/reading about it.:p

At this time of the year, everything is hard.
That must make diving catches very painful.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Handy complains about everything.

And Marsh was horrible. There was no strike zone.

No strike zone at all. When the count went 3-1 on Laird on the 12th, I was worried Leyland was going to call timeout and take his bat away. No way was our guy going to throw two strikes in a row, luckily Laird bailed us out.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Obviously it doesn't:

edit: This was left too wide open not to take.

So me acknowledging I had a bad angle and then confirming it is your big coup...wow nice work! :p

Plus, from where I was it all looked good to me...try and prove me wrong :D

Duensing needs to go 7, if Mijares or Crain is called upon things are gonna get ugly!

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Do you know anything about baseball? The guy was inconsistent ALL night. The strike zone was shrinking, then ballooning, then shrinking again. The strike 3 to Polanco in the ninth was maybe 10 inches off the plate. LL umps don't give those calls.

And then the guy had no integrity, after watching the replay that CLEARLY shows the ball hitting Inge's jersey he says the replay is inconclusive. Be a man and own up to your mistake Randy. That's what real men do.

And I was rooting for the Twins: he was terrible both ways.

The guy was NOT inconsistent. Just because you're an angry, bitter troll who has nothing to do but complain about the officiating in every single game played does not detract from the fact Marsh's strike zone was the same FOR BOTH TEAMS. Porcello got calls his way, Baker got calls his way, etc. etc.

It's time you stopped acting like you're the biggest expert on the planet. No one is impressed with you.
