2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Good start!

Yeah I am not sure I would be swinging away with Cabrera here but hey the man is red hot so go for it!

He struck out :(

edit: Come on Joe!

Hehe Baby Jesus made the ball go away from Posada :p

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Prove you wrong that it looked good to you from your horrible vantage point? That...that doesn't even make sense.

Yes I know that...but I had already said I had no issues with the ump but was at a terrible vantage point; then you used a later post of me saying I had a horrible vantage point to somehow try and prove a funny point. (which was neither funny nor really a point :D ) That to me made no sense either so I made sure to be just as pointless :D

I will say again and lets hope you get it...from where I was I had no complaints but the third baseline sucks for a vantage point so I can only see so much. Nothing I saw gave me any reason to whine about the umpiring.

On to things that actually matter...the Twins need to not blow opportunities like that one!

If an umpire is bad both ways he is consistent at least...that is fine by me. Listening to people whine about officials is old and tired and 75% of the time complete BS anyways.
My big problem with Marsh was that the strike zone was very inconsistent. He seemed to change it from pitch to pitch...didn't matter who was up. He'd call a ball on a particular pitch, and then the same pitch he'd call a strike. Polanco and Orlando Cabrera fell victim to this in the late innings for strikeouts.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I missed who is doing the game is it Chip Carey?

Come on Duensing lets get a DP here!

Now that I can understand...I saw the replay of the Polanco SO and I would not have called that strike 3 myself. I cant speak to really any other at bat though since I didnt DVR the game :(

Well Duesning got half the dp :p

My parise, this argument is still carrying on?

Duensing finds a way to get through the first and looked ok for his first time at Yankee Stadium and his first playoff game.

I know.

Wasn't really trying to make a point. Just having some fun. But I guess you are the expert on not being funny or having a point. ;)

I know. I was in on the gag, man. I don't like to put smilies on every post.
lets hope you get it
This seemed unnecessary.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

I can't remember who Crain was facing, but he was squeezed hard. He threw a pitch about 5 inches below the belt right over the heart of the plate, and it was a ball. Crain elevated it an inch or two and it was smoked.

Now, Crain's pitches are smoked on a regular basis, so it probably ended up being a wash. :D But, it has to suck feeling like you HAVE to throw it right down the pipe.

I'm done with the Randy Marsh talk. We won, moving on.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Yeesh 4 Ks already for CC...that is not the kind of start we need...

Anyone have a cup of Kool-Aid...Jubu needs a refill :D

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

So this pitch locator thing is always there now? Or did I just not notice it last night somehow?

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

It wasn't there last night.

Didn't think so.

I hate it. It can create way too much tension knowing every single time an umpire that made a call that a centimeter off. I mean come on, it wasn't there last night and look how long we *****ed about it. :p

Chip Carey, Ron "if you take a breath I will jump in and never stop talking" Darling and the Don Cherry wannna-be basketball announcer.

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Chip Carey is alright...Darling sucks :D

Craig Saiger...he is like a gay Tim McCarver!

Re: 2009 MN Twins Part 4: I Was Told There Would Be No Math

Nice strike Duensing!

I think Darling has a mancrush on Cano...he just ranted for 3 straight pitches about how beautiful Cano's swing is
