2009 Green Bay Packers - NFC North the 3-4 way

Re: 2009 Green Bay Packers - NFC North the 3-4 way

Whisenhunt must have gotten with his old colleague Bruce Arians and got what the Steelers did to shred the Packers, because it was a total vivisection in both games. Anyway, this Packers team is far from a finished product, and they have the most important position squared away for the next 10-15 years.

I'm still a little raw they aren't playing today. Hopefully Dallas can knock Old Balls QB around tomorrow and make me feel better.

Thumbs up. It hurts to root for Dallas, but this is truly the lesser of two evils. By the way, I'll be stopping up and to say howdy Friday night. I am able to come to the Friday game against UWS.

Awesome. I'll be there both nights.

Did everyone see Bertrand Berry got fined $5,000 for the 2nd to last play in the game? The play where College got called for holding (correctly I may add), but Berry got away with an obvious helmet to helmet on a QB. I commented about it that night on other sites, although I didn't comment about it here because I vowed to not bother here with the officials. I hope everyone is as comforted as I am by the fine several days after the fact in leiu of the proper call on an obvious penalty.

Re: 2009 Green Bay Packers - NFC North the 3-4 way

Well it is one of those unfortunate situations where there are two things that are absolutely true:

1) We got absolutely hosed on the call, but

2) No singular call should make that big of a difference. If the Pack took care of things on defense the call becomes a non-issue.

EODS, don't get me wrong, I don't for a second think they did their part and just got hosed. The only above average thing about Arizona is their passing offense and if the Packers would have taken care of their business across the board they would have won by 2 TDs. It's more of a "tell me something I don't already know" insult to injury kind of thing when the only guy in the world who didn't immediately see the obvious penalty was the guy solely responsible for calling it.

he didn't because he was busy throwing the flag for holding...

enjoy it while it lasts...if you want to see vikings in Miami you better get a ticket to the pro bowl.

They found a way to beat the Invincible Cowboys, so they might be able to defeat the slightly less invincible Saints.

invincible cowboys? ok... I'm pretty sure the packers beat the cowboys this year...

Re: 2009 Green Bay Packers - NFC North the 3-4 way

Where those Packers at?:p
Q: Who dat? Who dat? Who dat der' gonna beat them Pack?
A: Only themselves, but it happened last week. So the Vikes are late to the party to do it a third time this season.

Re: 2009 Green Bay Packers - NFC North the 3-4 way

Quit polluting this thread. I doubt in a few years anyone will be reminiscing fondly about how an Old Balls QB took ownership of the franchise and led them to a loss in the NFC Championship game in the same year his former franchise was their own enemy and lost earlier in the playoffs. Besides, you guys should be blowing up that bubble some more so the burst can be heard Sunday from more than just West of Chippewa Falls.

EDIT - Darn it, I forgot my regular smile smiley guy.

We're never going to win the Super Bowl, so we may as well remember this game fondly. Beating the Cowboys and making Keith Brookings cry will be a fond remembrance.
